Make sure there was nothing spilled on it next you can try to take off the key and clean it with a compressed air.

I can't type asterisk on acer aspire

If you are using numeric asterisk, check whether the num lock is on or not, otherwise check your shift key whether its working properly or not and then try shift + 8*.

Problem with Asterisk

A short term solution would be to enable the keyboard viewer see this page http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/keyboards/charpalosx.html then once you have the keyboard viewer setup when you come to putting the password in do it through the keyboard viewer. It could be that your macbook is not set up with the correct keyboard configuration you can also do this through the input sources control panel and select the correct keyboard from this. Hope this helps.

How much memory can you install onto a macbook I would like to upgrade to 1TB

I do not believe you can upgrade to 1TB on a macbook. It depends on the model macbook you have (how old it is). If it is a 2009-2010 model you can put in 2 4G memory modules for a maximum of 8 MG on the latest macbook pros (2009 -2010). 2008 models take 4 MG max. Here is a good link to look at from Apple which I believe will give you just the answers you are looking for: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1270.
http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/03/26/apple-macbook-pro-1tb-hard-drive-upgrade/ This is an interesting article about a company who will upgrade your MAC harddrive to 1TB. However the maximum memory for newest model Macbooks is, as I said above 8 MB.

Good luck! If you find this helpful please vote or comment!

My number eight will not work.

Still could be a bad keyboard. Try hooking up an external keyboard to the computer, and hitting eight. Do you get the same result? If so, then it could be software. If not, then your internal keyboard is most likely bad.
