Freezee! whenever we play guitar hero 2 during a song, the entire screen stops, the characters freeze up the music stops but you can still hear the crowd in the back and the camera moves around a little bit while the whole scene is frozen, but thats it! it freezes up! and sometimes it even freezes during song selection, where it lets us browse the track list, but no music preview before we select. the playstation makes sound frequently of skipping and stopping. I don't think its the disc, it has to be something inside the playstation. this has been ongoing for 3 months. should we get it fixed or should we buy a new one?

Band Hero Songs for PS3
The title of the latest game in the Hero franchise is a little misleading. Band Hero sounds like a new direction for the franchise, a completely new brand. But other Hero games already include a full band (World Tour, Guitar Hero 5, Metallica). It's a strange title for a game that's basically Guitar Hero 5-2. Band Hero uses the same framework and ideas as GH5, just with less hard rocking and a lot more American Idol.

That's not to say that the entire setlist comes from current pop radio. You still have rock classics like "Bad Reputation" from Joan Jett and '90s hits like "Two Princes" from The Spin Doctors. But the special appearances in this game are decidedly more modern, with Taylor Swift and Adam Levine instead of Johnny Cash and Carlos Santana. The stages, clothes, and characters are more pop-infused as well, but I've never found the backgrounds and characters themselves to be the focus of these types of music games. Unless you're watching someone else play, the most important part of a music game is its playability.

Gameplay-wise, everything in Band Hero is the same as in GH5. You can still immediately jump into any song that's playing on the start screen. Every track is available in Quickplay without any codes or tedious unlocking. You can play a song with any mix of instruments you want. (Four lead guitars? No problem!) The career progression is a quick trip through increasingly more difficult songs without any repeats. Band Hero even includes all the same, varied multiplayer options from GH5. It's the same framework, so everything that GH5 did well, Band Hero also does excellently.

But that also means Band Hero contains the same niggling problems as GH5. The vocals are a little too hard to gauge pitch on. And, as a Hero game, even the lower difficulties are a little too punishing, which stands out even more in an increasingly casual-oriented franchise like this. I have friends who were frustrated by Band Hero's Medium setting, but who can competently play through Rock Band's games on Hard. It's not really a problem, but Band Hero also has 20 fewer songs on its tracklist (65 versus GH5's 85).

The freeze ups normally happen before the red lights of doom and they are caused by the GPU and the CPU getting too hot and the soldering snaps off so they lose connection.

If you stop the heat build up you will be fine.

You can do this yourself using a good repair guide or you can send it in and they will fix it for you.

have you tried going into the setup when trying to play a song there is a option called lag timer/ delay something like that. sometimes the timing between you controller and the telly are out of sync. im not definate but worth a try.

Well if these spot are consistent on certain disks time after time it is most likely a scratch, smudge or defect on the disk. check them all for scratches and if they are dirty try to clean them very gently with a soft cloth. This would only really concern your actual console if it occurs during heavy game loading or at the same spot during a load. Try cleaning all your disks and get back to me. GL

Question, are they wireless guitars or are they corded? If they are wireless, try switching the wireless cards on the playstation where the cord slot is. But use the same guitar with the different card. Thats how I was able to solve my same problem.

u cant do that on aerosmith its only on world tour that u can create or upload songs (Hope this helps)

Check the vents on you ps3. If those are blocked or even too close to a wall or something like that, the game will freeze.

try the slots in the front, i never use the one on the back of the system to play games,
