No signal on Radio,

Okay I check all the fuses, the wiring, the antenna, everything is in place but my Radio does not want to get signal. My CD player works and my Aux. for my IPOD works. Everything is checked out. All of a sudden my radio starts to fade and barely gets signal. How can I solve this This is for a CDX-GT210 Sony stereo.

try connecting the red and yellow together, and to a 12 volt source. that should deffinately get power to the head unit.

check the fuse under the big connector on the back.

SOURCE: connect ipod to cd player wit built in aux input.

solution to ipod problem some ipods do not work in directly with after market sterios some do now a good solution is to go to your local radio shack buy the rca jack one end proper male femal connectors on one end then head phone jack on the other this will play anything its just like the old days when you had to buy that clunky tape with head phone jack attachted it works all the time make sure ipod is powered so that it wont loose power while playing its kinda old school stuff but works since most ipod products dont work with aftermarket sterios

SOURCE: cant find aux conection for ipod function

there is no direct input on this until. although you can purchase the aux input cable from the link i have posted which will allow you to plug in rca's into the rear. after purchasing2.gif this cable, you will have to turn on the aux option in the menu. which you may want to make sure that you can do beffore you order it.

1.with the power on, hold the source button until the until turns off
2. hold the audio button until a menu is opened. (hold function if audio doesn't work)
3. scroll through until you find the aux option and turn it on.
4. turn on the radio2.gif and scroll through the sources and make sure it is there.

No audio radio but cd works

Make sure the connection to your antenna is okay or if you actually got a antenna at all. Also check fuses for the audio system. You can find wiring diagrams and position of fuses for your car by searching on google.

I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX coupe. Installed aftermarket radio cd player and the cd works but the radio does not. The issue is not with the new unit as the previous player's radio would not work either....

If you're getting power to the CD player then there's power
to the radio. The antenna involves the grid on the rear window,
an antenna coil and cable to the radio. You can check the
grid for a break and if it's small you're auto parts store will
have a repair kit. My 05 Accord rear window defogger did
not work and it took Honda 2 attempts to repair it. Other
than checking the grid I would bring it to the dealer.

Radio works fine but power goes off when switch to CD player

Your antenna remote is installed on the amplifier turn on lead.
When your Radio switches source - it thinks the antenna should go down and drops the signal (and thereby dropping the signal to your amplifier).
Swap the 2 "blue" wires and you'll be all set.

If antenna is not connected will it turn on

The unit should power up without an antenna. If it powers up then you would only get hash noise on the speakers. You can put a paper clip with a 12" piece of wire to the input or where the ant should go to see if you are getting a signal.
If you have power at the unit then you may have a bad ground (-).

2001 Ford Taurus Radio doesn't work but CD player does!

Does your car have an automatic raising and lowering antenna? If it does check your fuses for it. If not pull your radio out of the dash, and check to make sure that the antenna wire has not become lose or unplugged from the back.

Plays radio not cds

You may have Power antenna and amp remote turn on wires switched. Your system may be looking for turn on signal from radio and only gets it when am or fm is on because power antenna wire is hooked up instead of amp turn on signal.

Power Amp not working When A CD is playing

Hi Cassiel,

You have it wired wrong. The Power Antenna wire is for antenna only. When you go to something other than Radio, the antanna wire signal to turn retract the antennaor turn off your amp. you need to use the Blue wire coming out of your CD player. The intended function of the Blue is remote turn on when every the radio is turned on. This will keep you amp on as long as your Radio is turned on. Change the wires behind the radio from the Power antenna to Blue Remote wire.
