First Tv would not turn off then it turn off and now will not turn on. I notice for a couple of days that the picture would be distorted and it would take a while before the picture came in. Now no power. What could it be?

Ensure that the plug is inserted in the power socket and the switch is on. Turn on a table lamp or any other visible light near the TV. Then switch on/off the TV manually a couple of times from the control panel of the TV, giving a time-gap in between. If you notice the electric light flicker, and the TV makes a starting noise, the primary section of the TV is switching. If the LED is not glowing, there is a problem with the primary switching section, and might require attention by a qualified service technician. Also try this removing the batteries of the Remote. If it works, then the buttons on the remote are jammed!
After you remove the back cover inspect the power supply board for swollen or bulging capacitors.Pull and check any capacitors that you suspect to be swollen.Next, look for a sticker in the upper right hand side of the TV set.Use the values you find on the sticker to calibrate the voltages on the power supply board.

there is a loose contact in power supply section of your tv.
it is 1oo% sure that allthe parts are ok as
tv runs ok when it comes on.
but you will have to call tech. as without knowing technology it is dangerous to open tv due to high voltage.
