I have the very same problem, but I get the error (even though it doesn't come off like a typical error message) when I try to access the print menu.

Stangowner, In this case, the print job is too large for the available printer memory. Your choices are one of the following: Press to clear the message, cancel the current print job, and conduct the next print job, if any. · Press Cancel to cancel the current print job. · Press Menu to open the Stored Print and delete the current job. To avoid this error in the future, do the following: · Reduce the number of print pages such as splitting the print data. · Increase free memory space by deleting unnecessary data in the RAM disk. As for the RAM disk: When you send a job to the printer, you can specify in the driver that you want the printer to hold the job in memory. When you are ready to print the job, you must go to the printer and use the operator panel menus to identify which job in the memory you want to print. You can use this function to print a confidential job (Secure Print), or verify one copy before printing additional copies (Proof Print). NOTE: The printer holds the job until you delete it by using the operator panel or you turn off the printer. (This is the RAM disk) NOTE: Print and Hold functions require a minimum of 320 MB available printer memory. Also, you need to configure the RAM disk settings on either the OPERATOR PANEL OR THE PRINTER DRIVER. NOTE: Depending on the documents, its job may be too big for the available memory. In this case, an error occurs. Take this link and print it out. It will help you later when you get "other" error messages. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/3100cn/en/UG/section19.html And here's a link for more "operational" situations. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/3100cn/en/UG/section16.html#1087088 ZT3000 "Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"

It is also possible that you installed the PS driver in stead of the PCL. Try that one.. It helped with my RAM disk message
