My son threw his softball at our brand new TV and now it looks like it's cracked from inside as it has several lines that looks like it's cracked and some parts of the TV on the right hand side is blacked out but the left hand side is still working and the audio is fine. Can Sharp replace this since there's no physical damage or do you know how much it'll cost? So heartbroken since it's still fairly new. You would think they would make these TVs more sturdy. Sigh.. PLEASE HELP!!

Sharp televisions have a few layers of plastic before getting to the actual screen, these are very cheap to replace, and they just require you to take the cracked one out and replace it.
However, if the picture is affected, then it will cost alot to replace the screen, hopefully you have warrenty, you may want to replace the tv itself

check the power options in os from control panel whether the option "turn off the monitor" is in "after 5 mins" if so make it never....
if not check in bios power and frequency control properties...

it is going into sleep mode, good luck with this.... i am currently asking how to get my hard drive to quite putting my monitor into sleep mode.
although it hasn't worked for me because my screen stays black, one of the options given to me is to try to start in safe mode and then adjust your settings to "never" on the energy/sleep/hibernate mode
some one else suggested that i remove and reseat the video card
hopefully one of those will work for you
