Does your machine make it to the windows login screen, or does it fail before.

I think you haven't installed you CPU correctly, or maybe did not put heat sink compund evenly on the heat sink, and that causes the CPU to overheat and freeze.

the heat sink is what goes under your CPU, it get the heat from the cpu and that heat is removed with the fan. see this link for a picture of a heat sink.

Displays momentarily and asks for CPU fan connection. I have changed 4 fans and still get the same error message and the display goes off.

You're sure you have the cpu fan connected to the correct socket? sounds like it's not connected, or is connected to a different socket. Does the fan turn?

880GMA-E45......my cpu fan system not functioning,,,how to troubleshoot the error?..pls advice..

Try plugging the CPU fan into one of the other fan ports on the motherboard. If the fan still does not work, then the fan is bad. If it does work then the circuitry that controls the cpu fan speed is bad. You can try turning off speed control in BIOS and see if the fan works again in the cpu fan plug.

Your new hardware might not work properly error will appears

Hi,
This error message comes up when you plugged in your USB Flash drive into a lower version of a USB port. Try using another port in your machine, ports that are USB 2.0 compatible and you shouldn't see this error again.
By the way, there are old motherboards which does not have ports for USB 2.0. You might want to check your motherboard user guide and see which ports runs at 2.0. If there is none, I'm afraid that the only way around it is to upgrade into a better motherboard.
Hope this help.

CPU FAN ERROR PROBLEM

Check to make sure the CPU fan is plugged into the motherboard CPU fan power pins. Should be a 3pin port on the motherboard near the cpu with a white piece of plastic on the one side of it to show you are to plug in the cable correctly.

See if the fan spins at all on start up, or even when the computer is off, spin it with your finger and see if it gets hung up anywhere while it spins.
