Question about Logitech Audio Players & Recorders
I have an HP Pavillion dv9715nr Notebook laptop. I also have a "like new" Logitech Z# stereo speaker system that I used to use on my HP tower. Please advise the best way to hook up the system in order to be able to get the best sound quality and volume response.

I had the same problem for the longest time with my set of Logitech 540 5.1 speakers. Turns out the solution was pretty simple. All I did was open the Master Volume controller and mute the Microphone. Hissing went to zero. Sound is great now.

SOURCE: HP Pavillion Desktop no internal speaker?
No it won't. You will have to go out and buy external speakers.

Yeah man I have the same problem!
I guess I will just buy a new jack!

SOURCE: Can I turn the Logitech z-2300 to a 4.1 speaker system?
You will need a separate pair of powered speakers to do that, plugged separately. The quality of the sound will remain the same on the front ones, the overall quality will depend on the new ones.

Hi nidkap,
My name is Oliver Riemann and I work in the product marketing group for Laptop Accessories. I was disappointed to learn about your recent experiences with the Speaker Lapdesk - this experience is not what we would wish for our customers.
The issue you describe in your mail could have various causes, and our engineers are willing to investigate in order to be able to deliver the best experience.
But we want to help you now. I would be happy to exchange your lapdesk with a totally new one. If this offers suits you, please feel free to contact me via email.
Thank you,
Oliver
