Re: no ice making
First i would check the water valve in the back. One side is for water.. the other side is for the ice maker...
If you have a ohms meter check selonid for continuity look for blisters of plastic on sides showing in would be bad...
You can also make a test cord to energise the valve by passing the icemaker to tell if valve is good. ALSO This would put water into you ice maker telling you.. you have a clear path for water to icemaker
You only need to plug in for few seconds .. to keep from over filling icemaker if vavle good and water comes thu

I had the same issue with my frig. I read on line where Someone open the freezer and ran a hair dryer in it. So I tried it I turned off the water draned the water side out left my door open while I had the hair dryer running for a half hour then turned the water back on and sure enough after the line unfroze and it started making ice. there was a little blurb on the freezer about how much water presure was needed. I found this information just by doing a google search on my model frig.
Grab a blow dryer and aim it at the water tube that supplies water to your ice maker. More then likely it is frozen with ice and will need further melting to clear it out so that your ice maker will work again
The ice maker is probably ok. It is most likely the temperature of the freezer. Remove items that block air flow up the back of the freezer. Make sure the door can close securely. You may have water pressure that is too low to fill the ice tray, take time to confirm water pressure to the back of frig. Remove the line and run water into a bucket for several gallons then secure it back to the frig. Make sure the line is tight and does not leak before and AFTER you roll it back into place..
Normally, the ice "cubes" are crescent shaped. The most likely cause for "crushed" ice is that the ice maker isn't getting enough water on its refill cycle after ejecting the tray. Becuase there isn't enough water, the ice looks crushed...it's actually shattered.
Check the water inlet and chute to the ice maker. Sometimes they freeze and have to be manually defrosted. A hair dryer will do the trick. Also check the water chute and be sure it isn't partially frozen.
Start there...if no luck you could also have a failing water filter or sticky water solenoid valve.
the line that gives water to the ice maker, every time the water comes down it lives a drip of water that turns to ice blocking the line, get some hot water and a towel and place the hot wet towel on top of the line intel it melts the ice in side the line. it happens to my frige at list once a year. if that is not the problem the valve that supplies water tho the ice maker needs replacing, it's behind the frige at the bottom, where the line coming from the house meets the frige.
The problem is in the water valve.
The water supply line going to the Ref is connected to a water valve. This valve is not shutting off completely which causes water to drip into the ice maker. This dripping will freeze and eventually completely block the fill tube in the freezer.
check your module itself on the ice maker make sure the plactic piece that turn the motor is not broke off if you can move the injector blades up and down without force that could be your issue to check you ice make sensor open the freezer and push the light switch 3 times you should get a solid red light where you can turn your ice maker on or off if that is not solid it is the computer chips that are in the freezer liner if all that checks then replace the water valve
