Top loaing washer fills then mostly empties repeatedly
The washer fills then partially empties, then fills again then partially empties. This process repeats with nothing else happening. Eventually the machine may get to wash cycle but only briefly
Re: Top loaing washer fills then mostly empties...
Check you drain line. It may be too low or the air gap is blocked at the drain pipe.
A test is remove the drain pipe from the wall drain. Hold it up high and turn the washer on to fill.
If it fills and stops, then starts agitation. Repair the drain hose.

If the pump is working rotate the selector dial around slowly until the pump comes on again. If it doesn't empty the tub then something is blocking the water, flow, i would look at the hoses for links or blockages
A. Prepare
Step 1: Make sure you have 48 ounces of white vinegar on hand. You will also need an empty sink and a ceramic mug (Do not use a paper cup.)
Step 2: Empty the water in the water reservoir B. Fill and Clean
Step 1: Pour the vinegar into the water reservoir and fill it to the top edge of the clear viewing area.
Step 2: Place a ceramic cup in the drip tray and run a brew cycle. DO NOT USE A K-CUP...just press the large cup button. Pour the contents of the cup into the sink.
Step 3: Repeat the brew process until the water reservoir is empty, pouring the contents of the cup into the sink after each cycle. Remember to open and close the lid between each cycle.
Step 4: Now fill the reservoir with fresh water and let the brewer stand for 4-hours while it is still on. C. Rinse
Step 1: Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water.
Step 2: Place a ceramic cup on the drip tray and run a regular brew cycle. Once again, DO NOT USE A K-CUP...Pour the contents of the cup into the sink.
Step 3: Repeat the brew process until the water reservoir is empty.
Step 4: You may need to perform additional brew cycles if you notice any residual taste.
1) most Noises coming from washing machines coming during the cycles of SPIN .Clothes load can be un-balance. Stop the machine and balance the clothes.Start again, and repeat the step if necessary.
Hi, Your problem possibly lies with the filter down below. If its visible fine, if not, remove kickplate. Place shallow pan under knob. Turn counterclockwise until water starts to come out. When pan is partially full, retiten and empty pan. Repeat until all water is gone. Remove filter and clean. Hope this helps.
According to the owner's manual, you sould empty the water resevoir. Fill the water resevoir with white vinegar (it says 48 oz). Place a ceramic (not paper) cup in the drip tray and run a travel mug cycle with no k-cup in the machine. Throw the vinegar out. Repeat this process until the resevoir is empty. Be sure to open and close the lid so the cup sizes flashes each time. let the brewer sit for 4 hours while still on (the vinegar's still inside). Rinse out the resevoir, fill it with water and run the cycles through until the resevoir is empty again. If there is any residual taste. repeat the rinse. If it still say descale when you're done, the book says to repeat the process.
The Solution: Top up the softener tray with extra water so that it is up to the 'max level' mark.
The softener tray works by a siphon action. Thus, the reason the tray does not empty is that not enough water is added by
the machine during the softening cycle, so that the machine does not
completely fill the softening tray; only when the softening tray is
filled beyond the 'max' mark does the siphon action works. A partially
filled tray will never empty - it's impossible due to the siphon.
The reason that not enough water is added to the tray during the
softening action is that the water inlet of the machine is partial
blocked (you can try to fix that) but it is simpler to just added more
water to the conditioner tray.
Thus, the easiest way to ensure that the softener tray empties every
time (after adding the softener to the softener tray of course) is to
top up the softener tray with extra water, top it up to the 'max level'
line (keep a bottle of water by the machine). That way, even if only a
little water is added to the softener tray during the softening cycle
by the machine it is enough to trigger the siphon action and the tray
will empty!
Works for me every time, and no need to remove any parts - I used to
take the tray out, clean it, scrub the outlet holes that fill the tray
etc, but they used to gum up again quite quickly!
