At first I had this blinking light, after looking around the internet I found a solution via this site. I entered the control panel mode The sequence I used was:
Hi Temp Wash, Heated Dry;
Hi Temp Wash, Heated Dry.
This did clear the blinking light and the dishwasher was able to be started, but now once it fills with water, nothing else happens. It just Hums and does nothing. What is this? Is there a pump that is burnt out? if so, what exactly needs to be replaced?
Any ideas are welcome.
I started having this problem, blinking green light, three days ago with my Kenmore QG3 and finally was tired of not being able to use my dishwasher. I've had it for three years with no problems until 3 days ago. You solution, use of commands, really helped and no money wasted on tech assistance. Thanks again!!
Thank you sooooo much munkee!!! We had this problem awhile back and when I called Sears they gave me the code to correct the problem but I stupidly misplaced it and could not remember where I left it. You saved us! Thanks for your thoughtfulness.
The fact you can hear the hum but no wash sounds like the main pump (motor) is stuck. The solution to this is to get to the motor impellor turn by hand and free up the rotation of the pump, and then put it back into the machine. If you are unable to free up the motor, then it is seized and a new motor will be required.

So I would guess you can't get it to work at all? It could be the circuit which is inside the door....I would never suggest anyone fix these things themselves. It's always fairly expensive but worth it for peace of mind knowing a job professional done.
No all you do is press
Normal-Wash, Heat Dry, Normal-Wash, Heat Dry,Normal Wash, Heat Dry, Normal Wash, Heat Dry
Then all the bottons light up
Don't press anything wait a few minutes and it will work again
I know because today we just had this problem and did this from looking it up online,
have you ever seen green led "Clean" light flashing? before or about the same time the buzzing sound started? and if so that would indicate that the control senses a fault in the temperature rise during the heating cycle and that the electronic control could be reset by initiating a service diagnostic cycle.(which is what you were trying to do) pls reread your manual there are times during that sequence that some buttons have to be pushed at the same time and within a certain amount of time..possible that your machine also has a bad timer which would give you a buzzing noise..if thats the case I would recommend replacing the cpu or control board..or the machin all together..The Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard name is sears but whirpool has the contract to produce all "kenmore products.hope that helps.
Yes the wash arm can be removed to get to the sump area. Take the model number for your dishwasher and enter it into a site like partselect.com. There you can get a blown up diagram of the components that need to be removed to get to the cause of the grind noise. Usually a seed or some other hard object has found its way down there.
call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.
