The Stanton STR8-60 is a direct drive record deck, so this shouldn't happen unless the platter was damaged but after a little research I found that the Stanton's can get a faulty chip which is meant to regulate the speed and therefore can make it spin erratically.

If your Makita MT74F tamper is not working, there are a few things you can check to diagnose the issue:
Check the power source: Make sure the tamper is properly plugged in and that the power source is working correctly.
Check the switch: Test the switch to ensure it is working properly. If the switch is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
Check the motor: Use a multimeter to test the motor to ensure it is getting power. If the motor is not receiving power, it may need to be replaced.
Check the brushes: The brushes may be worn out or damaged, preventing the tamper from working properly. Check the brushes and replace them if necessary.
Check the gearbox: If the gearbox is damaged or worn, it can prevent the tamper from functioning properly. Check the gearbox for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
If you are unable to diagnose the issue yourself, it may be best to take the tamper to a qualified Makita service center for repair.
Is your industrial machine one that has a big motor mounted under the table? If so make sure the power cored is plugged in. Also if your pedal is not installed properly it will sometimes flip forward get bound up and won't allow the proper throw to run the motor. Since the pedal doesn't supply power check the linkage to the motor.
hi, possible problem with the dvd, the lens doesn't read the disc or the spindle motor not rotating that is why can not read a disc. try to clean first with a cd lens cleaner, just insert a cleaner to the player to remove dirt and might the lens get sticky. now if still doesn't work, you will need to remove the cover of the player to access the internal part. check for broken part or any obstacle that can block the rotation of the spindle motor.if the motor doesn't rotate anymore you can check the resistance if still there using an analog tester. if no resistance at the pin terminal of the motor, the coil was worn out then you will need to replace the motor.
If the starter clutch gets gummed up it doesn't work properly. Take it off and clean it. If that doesn't work you will need a new clutch. The clutch is at the outside end if the starter motor. Go to the website for a diagram of the starter and clutch assembly. www.babbittsonline.com
The only output from the turntable is the low-level signal from the cartridge. Most likely, the receiver you've hooked it to doesn't have a phono input. Many receivers today don't come with one, and if you connect the turntable to a line-level input you get either very low volume or none at all, depending on the cartridge. What you'll need is a turntable preamp to boost the output to line level so the receiver will work properly. Radio Shack still carries a preamp, available online and in some stores. You can also find preamps online (here's one at Amazon). With the preamp connected you can use any free input on the receiver.
If you took it apart you might of voided the warranty. Try buying like a cd cleaner they sell them at bust buy and stuff and give that a try. If that doesn't work. Contact Stanton and Have them take a look at it for you.
