Re: FRIGIDAIRE M.N. FRS26R4CWR AND S.N. LA52921475 ICE...
Is this the original ice maker?
If it is you should be able to pull off front cap on icemaker head and see a adjustment screw with a - and + signs adjust towards - tell required level is reached..
most new model icemaker have NO adjustments.. has a circuit board for a brain..lol and takes care of the adjustments

What is your model number? Sounds like you may need a new icemaker. Sometimes when the icemaker motor goes bad it causes the icemaker to keep filling even though it hasn't kicked out the ice in there. Also, are you sure there isn't 2 valves on the refrigerator?
The most likely reason for this happening is a defective Click Here=> 241734301 Triple Water Control Valve These valves are located on rear of refrigerator and near floor where the water supply enters your Refrigerator. CLICK HERE=> FRS26H5ASB9 USE AND CARE GUIDE The valve location is listed on page 5 of the Use and Care Guide, If you do not have Adobe Reader Click Here=> Adobe Reader X (10.1.0)This problem is typical as a leaky faucet that drips even when the water valve is turned off. I will be here to answer any questions you may have, Thanks Sea Breeze
You are right - it is filling up with too much water. If you remove the front panel of ice maker you will find a screw there that adjusts the length of time that the solenoid stays open to admit water. Turn it counter clockwise to reduce the time and amount of water entering the ice maker.

If the ice maker no longer make ice, check the following.
Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned
off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the
ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the
raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply
lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on.
you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is
in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be
between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the
ice maker may not produce any ice.
Check your door seals and thermostat,
repair/replace as necessary.
You have a solenoid switch which switches the dispenser back
and forth from crushed to cube. It could be stuck or not working or the parts
connecting it could be disconnected or broken. You will have to observe to see
if any parts are moving and if any noise is coming from the solenoid. With your model number I can find a diagram which may help.
It needs to get the air out of the line before the water will fill the tray. When the line is opened up air will get inside and needs to bleed out first. On units with a water dispenser it is good to run it after a filter change to make the ice maker usable faster. An ice maker times the water for a fill not the amount of water since it uses a pressure regulator, so it does not know there is air in the line.
