Have you installed the latest Firmware from GE online?
If you have, are you certain you are not shooting in some Automatic mode that allows the camera to choose its own setting? If you are in FULL MANUAL mode, and you have the very latest Firmware installed, if you are in Flash OFF setting when you turn the camera OFF then it will return to Flash OFF when the camera is turned ON again.

Some problem with the shutter maybe? Ho much pics has it made?

Won't stay in ? Are you sure that you use a Sd card for the Camera. And if so that it's not broken ?
