We have a Bosch washing machine (3 years old) front load. It smells really bad. I did clean the rubber door seal (very black inside) but it still smells..like old musty and moldy. We leave the door open most of the time. Its driving my wife crazy..this machine works great (knock on wood) it just smells. The manual did say you can drain the pump from the bottom, but then it has to be re-filled? How can I make the smell go away? Please help. She has always used Cheer liquid detergent. John

Check that the water is not backing up the waste pipe from the u-bend. If the pipe to the u-bend raised 3-4 inches just before connecting to your u-bend, then dirty water down the sink can go in to the washing machine.

Make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put in the powder's drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It should clean the machine and move out the bad smell. As there is no chlorine bleaching agents in liquid powder it has a tendency to leave the machine smelling a bit after a while. Good luck!
