Re: emachine is only 2.5 yrs old it does not turn on
Several things to consider here on this question. 1 make of the E-machine.
2 what happened before this.
If this unit has had hardware internally replaced you can have a variety of issues.
burned up power supply
It may be as simple as a wire inside not plugged in.
I would have a tech open it up for you as this may be something requiring a little more work than someone here can guide you through.

Take off electricity wire, Open the filter from the front( maybee need to remove a rectangular cover.) turn the filter anti-clockwise. take out the hairneedle or coin. (the water will come out from the filter so make preparation with towels., see inside the filter if something is stucked around the small propellar. Turn the electricity back on. choose for example pumping program or centrifugeprogram. After that the machine should work.
Turn UPS on: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for one second.
Run a Self-Test: Press and hold the MUTE/TEST button for two seconds (until alarm beeps several times).
The test will last 10 seconds. All LCD Display icons will be illuminated and the alarm will sound.
If the fault icon remains lit, the battery-supplied outlets are overloaded. Unplug powered devices until you remove the overload.
If the "Replace" icon remains lit and alarm continues to sound, the UPS batteries need to be recharged or replaced. Allow UPS to charge for 24 hours and repeat self-test.
HI Read the first then go to the bold letters. To program your Magic Dlx: Press and hold the steam and small espresso buttons at the same time, then push the energy saving button (top right). Water Hardness. The large coffee button programs the water hardness. Press the button once and you will have one light in the top row, left side. Press it again and you should have two lights lit. Press it three times and you have three lights lit. Four and you have four lights lit. Press it a fifth time and it goes back to one light. Each light represents your water hardness. So if you have a water hardness of 3, press it until you have three lights lit. Press the energy saver button to exit the program and save your hardness level in the machine’s computer. It will now tell you when you should descale your machine. Pre-infusion. Press the medium coffee button to activate and you should see the light come on. Press the button and turn the light off to deactivate the pre-infusion. Pre-grinding. Pre-grinding is turned on with the cup warming button. When it is lit, the pre-grinding is on. Press the button to turn it off.
Check the settings control panel, power options to make sure the setting is not engage to power saving after "minutes" if it is change to the require time or disable, then apply the settings and exit. if this is not the problem, the other most common problem with these emachines and random and frequent unplanned shutdowns is a the motherboard itself.
