If your playstation is chipped (modified) for playing fake (copy) games then only it is possible to play US games on japanese console suuppose if it is not chipped you can't play US games on it and you have to play only japanese games and that also originals.

You are stuck buying games from whatever country you bought the PS3 from i.e if it's Japanese you can only play games made in Japan. Hope that helps :)

Hello there,
Video games, just like DVD, have regional restrictions placed on them. If you buy a game from Europe, you will only be able to play them on consoles designed to work in Europe. This is the same for Japan, America, Australia, etc. Unfortunately, there is no legal way for you to be able to play a Japanese bought game on an American system or vica versa.

Yes, the PS3's region doesn't matter since PS3 games and Blu-Ray movies are REGION-FREE meaning they can be played on any system from any country. I, for one, am a PS3 owner from the Philippines. My system is from Japan but I have and can play games from US, Europe, and Asia. You can even run imported games such as Japan exclusive games and play them with no problem.

Red light flashing ,start up screen is all that it shows won't play any games and wont go online

The red light means that the system is overheated, give it good venilation and cool down time.

This error occurs because your graphics hardware isn't compatible with the requirements of the game. You will need to purchase a newer model video card in order to be able to play this game.

your playstation wants to be formatted you should have that disc in your playstation 2 box just enter that disc and the rest is up to you

Our PS2 will not accept an American Play Station Disc

thats because you are in a different region .americas use ntsc and if you are from europe you use pal formatted disc .if you put a chip in it it will solve the problem.

this is a problem, only japanese games will work in a japanese console. Or, you can get custom firmware for psp(google it) and you can play games from any region, be it europe, japan north america etc.

ps2 discs are region locked ps3 games are not so are some dvds the are region locked if you seriously want to play the ps2 games buy them from japan
