My new Dell Inspiron Desk top computer was shipped with a Logitech V450 mouse (I aksed for a quality cordless mouse). But it does not work reliably, as though it can't send a signal to that USB plug in in the back of the CPU which sits under my desk. The other cordless mice I've used with desk tops came with an antenna sort of thing that sat on top of the desk. Shoul this have that? If so why didn't Dell know that? Can I get just the antenna?
Thanks for your reply,
Yvonne Ashmore
It should be good up to 30 feet, whatever the setup. You might try plugging the send/receiver into a front port to see if that helps.
I usually open Device Manager, open each USB device and set the power to stay on, (not "turn off this device to save power"). That way, sleep mode won't cause you to lose contact with the mouse. Or just disable sleep mode.

Hi: Just got off the phone with a Jason at Logitech Customer Service. The "locked" keyboard after battery replacement is a known error/bug with the MX 3200 and 1 other keyboard they make. The solution is very easy (amazing). If you have NOT installed the Logitech Setpoint software that manages all the extra buttons on the keyboard,
Do This:
Press "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "F12",
Then the "Connect" button on the USB RECEIVER,
Then press the red "Connect" button on the back of the keyboard,
Then Press "esc"
That will do it.
The keyboard goes into the encrypted mode with battery change. Perhaps changing batteries one at a time, like they suggest to keep the LCD settings will avoid this?
If you have already installed the Setpoint Software, then pressing Ctrl, Alt, F12 will pop-up a box asking if you want to come out of encryption mode, I'm told.
Good luck,
Rob

That's a hoot, they're on the same frequency. If Logitech can't get you one on a different frequency, try moving your receivers as far apart from each other as possible. A USB extension should not hamper function, try it.

Make sure you have fresh batteries in the mouse and keyboard: If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holy days! Thanks, Joe
Plug your transmitter unit into an USB port, push the connect button on the TX, then push in on the connect button on the mouse and the keyboard. Also, install the cd that came with the KB/Mouse, to gain access to the features.
