Bootloader USB INIT

I turned my phone (E815)on this morning to use it and the screen that appeared on the phone was blue with a message on the lower portion of the screen "bootloader usb init" i tried to charge it and it said unable to charge. I then removed the battery and reinsert the charger and it still says the bootloader message.

Same thing today. Can't get it to turn on, charge or anything. I was warned not to get this phone by Alltel, that there was major problems with it, they even showed me a memo sent around to all dealers. That due to all the problems with the phone that it would be cheaper to replace/try to repair...then recall. I heard that newer versions of this phone are better, minw has been ok until now...mfg.date 2/07...

I'm getting a bootloader usb init screen

Your phone is partly fried. It needs to be re-flashed. You can do it with a USB cable and the proper software....Google "bootloader USB" for some help in finding the software. One thing to try, hold down the "*" and "#" keys while powering up the phone, this could possibly help, but I doubt it.

Good Luck!!!

Bootloader usb init

This means that the phone firmware is corrupt - you can try to reflash it using Motorola software update, but it might not work for a phone stuck in bootloader mode:

Get this Phone reflashed. Of course if you Dropped the Phone or if it went into water then Forget it about spending 35-50 Bucks on reflasing this phone. because it will go back to Boot Mode.
