Need Vista driver for CoStar Labelwriter

I have a CoStar LabelWriter XL+ (db9 and db25 connectors ONLY) New computer with Vista has NO db9/db25 connectors! A db9 to USB converter doesn't work without a Vista driver. CoStar(Dymo) has no vista driver only XP driver. Read: CoStyar = Dymo with NO support!

Did you try installing the XP driver in Vista in compatibility mode?

CoStar is now part of Dymo, however Dymo provides NO support for missing CoStar...

Do I need the software to install Dymo LabelWriter 400 Thermal Printer to my computer?

Hi, most printers do need a software/driver in order to be recognized by your computer. If in case you don't have the driver yet, you may download it from this site:
http://www.labelvalue.com/dymo-software.php

Select the software/driver compatible to your computer's operating system (ex. windows 7, windows xp, Vista, etc.) Please save it first to your computer before running it.

Quite a lot of the early LW400's didn't ship with the Vista driver/software. You can download the correct Vista driver from here:

Installing on Vista

Goto this page :

And click the 2nd icon along (XP/Vista Drivers), make sure to read the documentation before trying the driver as only some 300 series labelwriters are supported. If you specific model number (label on the underside of the printer) is not listed then it will not work under Vista.
