How do I check the bulb hours on a TOSHIBA TDP-S26 PROJECTOR?

I am trying to find out how many hours have been used on the lamp/bulb. Is there a way to find out?

I found a similar issue with another brand/type of projector and used that solution. It worked!

Projector tdp s9 lamp indicator turns yellow light, even when new bulb is replaced correctly

Once you replace the lamp you need to go into settings and reset the bulb hours back to zero. That will take care of your problem

JUST PUT NEW BULB IN A TOSHIBA TDP-S20 ON 2/18/11 . BOUGHT PROJECTOR IN 2004 USED UNTIL THE BULB HRS RAN OUT . BULB NEVER BROKE / BURST. ON START UP WITH THE NEW BULB IN MACHINE BOTH FAN AND LAMP LIGHTS...

Your new bulb is not lighting.
Check the connections are correct.
Have you also tried putting back old bulb to see if it works.

Toshiba TDP-T9. the light won't change from yellow to green. we tried restarting the computer and the projector, but nothing seems to work.

Well first check the colour scheme of your monitor and of the projector.
If this doesn't work check the working hours of the lamp. Try cleaning the filters and if this doesn't solve your problem the best thing to do is to change the lamp of the device.
If you need further assistance please leave a comment. Cheers

Standby light for toshiba

probably power supply or ballast (starts the lamp)

either would be $600.00 or so to repair, probably costs more than the projector is worth.

TDP-SW80 low light

HI there

Has it always been like this ?

Even though the lamp only has 200 hours on it , it could need replacement. It all depends on how the 200 hours was put on this unit. i.e. watching for hours at once - recommended.

Or in half hour sessions ?

At the end of the day the lamp of your Projector is the same as the ones you use in your house - it does'nt like being switched on and off for short periods

Toshiba TDP S8 projector shuts down suddenly

The reason why the projector is shutting off is so the lamp doesn't explode. It's more of a safety feature on the projector, you can reset the lamp and it might work for another 500hours. If the picture is still pretty bright I can get you the reset procedure, but be warn that when the lamp does eventually blow it could shatter the glass inside, so be careful, it shouldn't hurt the unit.

Projector Lamps for the Toshiba TDP-MT8 DLP

Have you contacted Toshiba? They will sell you a new fan. It is possible the power supply has a problem. Bulbs usually have a 90 day warranty. Contact where you bought the bulb. Prices are dropping rapidly for new projectors. Yoiu can buy a new oen for under 500.00.
