Wine cooler does not cool and does not stay on setting

When plugged in temperature reads 77, I push the down button for temperature to any degree, it flashes then goes back to 77 or higher, I unplugged it for a while and it still does the same thing.

I have a Everstar HDWC35 that chills the wine so cold that the corks pop out when the wine freezes even though the temperature is set at 58

The most likely cause is that you have a bad temperature sensor. Some wine coolers will display the set temperature, not actual temperature so although you set it for 58°, the temperature inside is much colder. If the temperature sensor is bad, then it's likely sending a signal to the control board that says it like 99° so the wine cooler is always trying to cool down to 58°. If you have an independent thermometer, put it in the wine cooler and see what it reads.

FYI, bad temperature sensor are pretty common in wine coolers. It's a design flaw that most manufacturers are just recently correcting.

Breeze air wkl 3000 blinking temperature al

NEW UNITS HAVE A VISUAL ALARM PRE SET TO KICK ON AT 62 DEGREES OR ABOVE, WHE THE WINE COOLING UNIT READS 62 OR ABOVE IT WILL FLASH "AL" AND THE TEMPERATURE NUMBER THAT FORVED IT TO KICK ON, IT IS JUST A VISUAL ALARM IT WILL NOT TURN UNIT OFF OR STOP IT .

THIS FEATURE WILL SHUT OFF ONCE THE UNIT READS ANY TEMPERATURE BELOW 62 DEGREES.

What is the temperature setting for normal wine cooling?

It's between 55 and 65 degrees fahrenheit. If you're storing a lighter red wine, you'd want to keep it on the lower end (55 degrees). And for the darker (deep) red, you'd want to keep it on the higher end (65 degrees). All white wines should be on the lower end, and below. You can drop down to 50 degrees if you'd like. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Stuck at 77 degrees!

Hi

Do not assume the problem is related to the compressor or the sealed, hermetic system; these types of problems happen only rarely. Your unit may have dirty condenser coils, a door that doesn't seal tightly, or a defective temperature control.
1) Check the cold control. Be sure it is set to "cold." Normally, the temperature inside the unit should be about 37 degrees Fahrenheit.

2) Listen for the freezer fan inside the freezer. When the freezer fan is running, it means the defrost timer and the cold control in the unit are both set to cool.

3) Listen for the compressor fan, where the compressor is located (typically behind or beneath the refrigerator. When the freezer fan is operating, the compressor fan should also be working (most of the time).

4) If one of the fans is not working or the compressor is off, the unit will offer very little cooling or none at all.

hope you will be helpfull..

Magic Chef Dual temp. wine Cooler #MCWBC77DZC

I suspect the cooler can only actually regulate one of those temperatures and the other one just drags along behind. Perhaps the weather is now warmer and the cooler has to keep the motor on longer to keep cool. The unregulated bottom temperature ends up cooler as a consequence.

Either that or the opposite effect is doing it.

The answer might be to find a 61 degree place in your house to keep the reds.

COOLER TEMP CONTROL SEEMS NOT TO BE WORKING.  TEMP GOES DOWN TO 42 AND STAYS THERE.

thats because 42 degrees is the optimum temperature for wine to be at. unlike other beverages wine coolers only go to 42 degrees.

Danby DWC283BLS Wine Cooler - Error message E3 & E4

Is the compressor running? I don't know this unit, but know that if you are too warm that is the first thing to check. In reading about another unit that had a different problem, it was mentioned that there is a ciruit board. If it has relays on it then these are the most likely culprit. They are either not making contact or staying in contact too long... sometimes just tapping each relay usually a black plastic component will cause it to work intermittently..Not sure if you can get these but call the company help line at 1-800-263-2629.
