I have a vertical yellow line two inches from the left of my hp f2105 that suddenly appeared. HP chat support told me to run in VGA mode and use their downloaded file to fix this. It did not work. Vertical line on my hp f2105, at first there was 2 on the left after 2 month another one came up in the middle and after 5 month onother one again came up on the right. this is a good monitor when it comes to design and picture but durability.... it is a failure.

if your set is a plasma then that can happen .. LCD screens are not known for that problem but it does happen to them also .. sometimes you can balance the screen a bit better by leaving a blank bright screen on for an hour or so ... also just playing wide screen often reduces the effect over time .. DLP type projection TVs dont normally do that but LCD and CRT type projections can .
this is real old right
no photo off i messing up, how can we guess, what you see?
amazing....
my guess power pack shot.
i guess you cant barrow a monitor and try that?
2nd guess blind, the back light failing
or is damage if it was hit, the LCD will have damage
gently flex the frame goes nuts, bingo.
laptops do not have degausing thats only on rct screens what you have is a pixil problem and the lcd or plasma is in need of repair or replacement, if your laptop is under warrinety i sugjest you bring it in soon.
I followed GuestUser/ Slinteriors advice and I fixed it. Open the front of the TV and there are 6 little nobs in the front. The botton 3 are what you need to adjust. from left to right the color controls are BLUE, RED GREEN. For the blue lines, slightly (I really mean very slightly) turn the botton left nob clockwise (right).
It sounds like the high voltage distribution block but that is not the cause of your problems, the tuners you talk about are the picture tubes ,one for each color, the blue picture tube was arking and you got lucky and got 6 more months of use, it and might have corrected when you drop it but now is the red doing it and you need to do the same but it might not work this time, dont be surprise.Be carefull while trying things in the back, there are high voltages there and is not safe unless you are familiar with tv service.
