SC-990 - Communication problem between BICU and input output board or software performance error.

I would suggest contacting Ricoh customer service.

An SC990 is usually an error indicating maintenance is overdue. The only way to verify that is by printing out the SMC report and seeing the subcodes. In the case of this model when is the last time the drum and developer was replaced?

RICOH error 990

You need to download the utilities for the printer.....the utilities will clear up the error code on the printer.....Just go to the company's website and look for the title drivers and software or drivers and support...If you need more help feel free to ask......

Error code 990 still after reset. what to do

Error 990 is an error message that has to do with the ink drying out on the maintenance unit. Unfortunately this is a fatal error and the printer will need to be replaced as the maintenance unit can only be fixed by a technician. You will have contact Ricoh for further information on possible replacement.

Error 990 keeps blinking on machine

This is an error that has to do with the ink drying up on the maintenance unit. This cannot be fixed by the end user and must be fixed by Ricoh. Error 990 is a Ricoh defect in which the printer should qualify for replacement.

Error code 350 error code 990 error code 540

Error code 990 indicates software problems yuo can check in SP7-403 for information.
Error code 540 will proberly indicate some heating trouble in the fix, you have to reset the machine with service code SP5-810.
Code 350 will disappear if you restart the copier.

I have a Ricoh G7500 printer that is giving me an ERR-990 when I turn it on. I don't see any documentation on Ricoh error codes.

990 A Waste Tank Full Sensor Defective
The waste ink tank full sensor (a
photosensor) on the corner of
the waste tank is not operating.
• Waste ink tank sensor on the corner of
the ink waste tank is defective.
• Replace the waste ink tank.

You can try pulling out and reseating the Waste Ink tank which is located behind the machine behind a plastic door cover (left side of machine as you are looking at it from behind). Turn the machine off and on using the main power switch. If the code comes back then you will more than likely need a new Waste Ink Tank.

Installed a new waste ink tank but still receiving error that waste ink tank is full on a Ricoh GX3000. What do I do???

I have a Ricoh GX3000 and it is reading waste ink full after I have replace the waste ink tank. how can I fix this?

I believe there is an optical sensor in the front of the waste ink tank that can easily identify the ink pad as full when it's not even close to full. See if you can remove the sealed top from the waste ink tank and make sure the sensor can never be blocked. Just be sure to occassionally check the tank to clean when actually full.
