If you can't find a jam when the error is displayed it's because the pick up rollers are worn and are slipping on the paper or your paper tray guides aren't in place properly. Normally it's the rollers need replacing.

I have a Lexmark Platinum Pro905 all-in-one printer.

Dust and dirt are usually the main causes. Using compressed air, gently blow out along the underside and inside of your printer. Please be very careful not to hit the print head as they are very easily damaged and Lexmark isn't making any new ones any longer. Sometimes, little pieces of paper can get in there as well. If you use the 'Clean heads" option on your printer, you will use an exorbident amount of ink! I was amazed my first few times (I couldn't believe it so, naturally, I had to check it again!).

I have a lexmark e238. Keeps showing paper jam light after cleaning rollers even though no paper is in there.

Either paper is moving too slow through the paper path or one of your paper path sensors is not registering. Pull the paper tray out and check to make sure the little plastic sensor is swinging free. That sensor tells when the tray is empty. Follow the paper path thru the printer checking all the sensors to make sure they are "opening" and "closing".

I have a lexmark x85 printer that is misbehaving. Weather I try to copy or print from the computer,t will not feed properly. The unit feeds about half way and then the printer heads start to move as if it...

You simply need to find a way to clean the inside of the printer, especially the rollers of dust. I will explain.

This is sort of scenario is usually caused by dust inside the printer. Dust has a way of preventing the sensors from detecting paper. Also it prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper. Sometime one side grips well and tries to pick the paper while the other doesn't resulting in a jammed. I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front). If you have a blower you may also use it to blow well into the interior of the printer (If you do not have a blower the brushing will still do if you do it well.) This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.

How to free carriage jam on lexmark X4550

There is a rod in the carriage of your printer that is meant for holding the cartridges. It keeps on moving and spreading the ink on the paper throughout the process of printing. If this rod is jammed because of any reason, you face a carriage jam. As mentioned above, the main function of the carriage rod is to spread the ink, so obviously any clog or ink failure will lead to a poor print quality. If rollers of your printer are leaving marks on the document, then you need to clean them with a wet cleaning pad. Never use the chemical cleaners such as benzine, thinner, or alcohol to clean the rollers. In extreme cases you might need to replace an old cartridge of your Lexmark Printer with a newer one. Once you get a new cartridge for your printer, you need to be very careful while replacing it, otherwise it might cause a carriage jam.fix Lexmark Carriage Jam .

How to open printer cover to remove paper jam on Lexmark E321

Hi,
Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Hope that helps!

Error 1203 and carrier jam error

Error 1203 on a Lexmark is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad... I would suggest you to try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..

If that doesn't work just call up their support number and check for replacement..
