Question about Dell PowerEdge 2650 Server
USB cd not in the boot options, have already updated bios to A21
Try turning usb support on in the bios,if this doesnt work try reseting your bios this should return it to default, hit f2 as it restarts when you are in. hit alt e alt f it should beep everytime you do this, what this basically does is clears nvram, go to boot devices and see what you have available, exit and retry your boot device

I am working on one of these now and yes, it should boot from DVDROM. Be aware that it is a notebook style drive and there are no onboard IDE or SATA controllers, so once the drive dies you're in for a wallet hit. Same goes for the floppy drive which is integrated with the DVDROM. Even worse, the presence of the broken floppy usually means a USB floppy drive won't help when loading windows drivers at install time.

The PE26x0 series was many server-line generations ago,
thus booting from USB devices was not available at that time, thus it
will not work today either. This includes USB based bootable devices
(i.e. bootable USB key, DVD ROM..etc).
Even with the latest BIOS A21 for the PE2650, there is no support for bootable USB devices.
