Those pieces WILL snap out, it just takes a bit of effort. Both my son and the boy that I nanny for have this car seat and I have taken them apart for washing the cover a couple of times. Just make sure to remember where everything goes back to.
If you're having difficulty prying them up, try using two spoons. Wedge either the handle ends or the spoon ends under either side and use them to leverage the piece up.
Hope this helps!

I use a pair of pliers and pull them off. They snap into place so you need to pull a bit, just not too hard as to break the plastic. I just did this today to clean my carseat. After washing, just snap them back into place after you've threaded them thru the strap.

Have a 1998 sunfire and can not seem to get the back seat belts to lock to install a car seat, what can I do?

Probably a lot of dirt in the buckle. The plastic piece pops apart. Clean it with Hot soapy water and a toothbrush and pick. Let it dry then lube it. 3 in 1 oil, dry graphite. If you open it and the spring/s are broken. replace it. I have found pennies and dimes in these.

My shaving head came apart and I can not re assemble it, kindly give me instructions

Wife cleaned bathroom shelf dropping the Arcitec. One of 3 heads was not aligned properly, when I tried to re-seat it, this head came apart. To put it back together takes some finesse and patience. Take a coil of stamps, or some other small opening to rest the outer plastic shell head, then insert the metal screen which has notches (2 small, 1 large) and fit it in the plastic shell head. Next put the metal blade assembly on the screen. Next align this on the metal (thin) pivot. When the outer plastic head, and the metal pivot are aligned (small peg holes), you can place the thin inner plastic piece on and gently press your sub assembly and the backing plastic together, It will snap together and hold. Don't FORCE it, the holes must be aligned on the outer plastic, the metal pivot frame, with blades resting on the screen. It does snap together. Work with fairly bright light to see what you are doing. If this fails, invest in a new head assembly for about 15% of the cost of the whole razor.

The front passenger seatbelt is twisted and won' t retract on my 2004 Sienna minivan. How can I fix it myself?

OK - So I have a 2004 Sienna and the drivers seat had a twisted seat belt. To make matters worse it was fully extended and I could not straighten it. Here are the steps I took to get it corrected.

I took off the handle to the sliding door. There are 2 small panels on the handle that can gently be removed with a flat head screwdriver. Once exposed you will see 2 torx bolts. If you have that tool, great. If not you can use a small flat head to unscrew the bolts. This removes the handle

Next use your flat head screwdriver to 'pop' off the bottom center section of plastic (the piece that has the auto door button). The side closest to the sliding door will have a plastic 'snap' that will come out and that will allow enough room to get to the other plastic snap...these come out easily but be careful they don't drop to the bottom. Once unsnapped you will have access to the top plastic center section (where the seat belt is located)

There is another plastic 'snap' close to the sliding door. Unfastening this side will allow enough space for you to access the drivers side and use a 10mm socket to remove the bolt holding that in place. Once out I was able to get both hands on the seat belt & it was easily corrected.

I adjusted the slide to its highest position since that is the way the passenger side is and we have never had an issue with that side.

Put all pieces back in reverse order & you are done. Took about 15 minutes.

Hope this helps.

Need to get the carseat apart for cleaning

You can download the manual from evenflo web site with your model number. You will be able to remove the 2 small metal clips at the bottom of the seat by twisting it gently. Then you insert it through the slot.
