Re: Machine foot will not work
Have you taken the foot control apart yet? What have you got to lose. Possibly something came loose that you can put back in place? There are small carbon contacts that may be put back in place. Just remember to put it back togeather the same way you took it apart.
Or keep an eye on eBay and ask questions. Mostlikely a generic footcontrol will work.

Sounds like your bobbin isn't locked into place. Is the latch on the bobbin worn that you can see? Is the shaft worn that the bobbin locks onto? I'll search for a manual but this is where I would start looking. Good luck
Well, you are definitely getting power from the electric plug in.
Let's do some diagnostic work. Do you hear anything when you press the foot pedal? Any hum? Did you happen to leave it in bobbin winding mode?
your machine doesn't have a "sew" button for use without the pedal. So please rotate the hand wheel toward you as you press the pedal. Did the motor take over and sew?
If you know someone with a meter... have them test the pedal. (they will place probes on/in the part that plugs in which tests for shorts, etc.) If that tests ok... then we know it's something more than the pedal and it will need servicing by a Singer Tech.
Foot control is bad - take foot control to your local Pfaff dealer to try on one of their machines. If their machine won't run either, it's the foot control and you can look into repair/replacement.
Machine has a short or some type or computer board problem - take machine to local Pfaff dealer and try with one of their known working foot controls. If the machine still doesn't work, your dealer will need to diagnose what is wrong.
Hope this helps.
