As a beginner, I just need to know how to use my iPod nano.

My grandchildren took my iPod and put several CD"s on it. Now I'm needing to know how to erase some of them and put new ones on and/or just how long the charge will stay good for......etc.

As far as erasing songs, you should connect the iPod to the computer, open up iTunes, and then left-click on the icon on the left side bar of iTuens that says "iPod Nano." Then go to the music tab and simply left-click any song that you do not want, and hit the delete button on your keyboard.

The iPod can generally only take about 8 hours of continuous use, but you can make it last 5 days with sporadic use. To recharge it, just plug it into your computer for about 3 hours, and it should fully recharge.

Good luck!

My Ipod Nano 4G won't open

  1. First make sure that your iPod’s hold button isn’t on. This is the little switch at the top left corner of the iPod video that you can move to “lock” the iPod’s buttons. If this is on, you’ll see a little orange area at the top of the iPod nano and a lock icon on the iPod’s screen. If you see either of these, move the switch back and see if this fixes the problem.
  2. If the hold switch wasn’t the problem do the following:
  3. Move the hold switch to the on position and then move it back to off.
  4. Hold down the Menu button on the clickwheel and the center button at the same time. Hold these together for 6-10 seconds. This should restart the iPod nano. You’ll know the iPod is restarting when the screen changes and the Apple logo appears.
  5. If this doesn’t work at first, you should repeat step 4

New Ipod Nano 4th Gen 16GB has went blank and will not turn on

HI there,

worst case scenario is that a circuit has broken inside. But your ipod will be under warrenty for a year from purchase.

Otherwise, leave the ipod to charge for a long time. Just leave it connected directly to the computer USB port despite not having any change in appearance. Also, don't connect it via a usb hub or through your keyboard. You will need to plug it into your computer directly.

You can also try entering DFU mode. Here is a great step by step guide to do that. http://iphonefreakz.com/beginners-guide/howto-dfu-mode/

Then restore the ipod and update the firmware. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes installed. By checking through software update.

I hope this helps,

Nathan.

My ipod nano chromatic ha water damage from the washer

Sometimes if you leave it sit for several days or so it will dry out completely and start to work again. I don't recommend charging it or plugging it in for several days or so as if there is still water in it, it may fry some of the chips. It may be beyond repair though.

you need to organise the playlist in the order you want.
First you need the mp3 files. Then use itunes to make a playlist and make the playlist the same order as the cd, or as you want it.

I pod nano

If you received the Nano 2nd Generation (which is the newer one), then your unit does not include any installation CDs. However, all you need to get it up and running is to download iTunes 7 or above. Which is AVAILABLE HERE.

Have Fun!
