I cannot load the software from CD as I am VISTA

I would down grade it to windows XP or upgrade to windows 7 both of those are good operating system. Microsoft didn't work too hard when check hardware workings. You can find a torrent for windows 7 on pirate bay.

HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One and Windows Vista

Un-install the printer from the computer using Add/Remove programs from the control panel.

Disconnect the USB cable that connects the printer to the computer.

Go to HP's web site and download the VISTA drivers and install them. When prompted connect the USB cable and wait for the setup to finish.

If the printer still does not function you will need to check with HP technical support as they are still updating some of their software to be FULLY COMPATIBLE with Vista.
