It seems the players date & time are set when the player is connected to your PC to transfer music. Make sure the date & time are set correctly on your PC then connect the player & it should update.
You can only change the hour in case you travel & change timezones.

1. Use Windows Media Player 10 or 11 and use the "sync" option from the tab in the top toolbar.
2. Reset the player to factory settings.

ALCK-487 reset time: Press M three times, you will see the seconds flashing. Then press S once to adjust minutes, press D, press S a second time to adjust hours, press D, press S a third time to adjust date of month, press D, press S a fourth time to adjust month, press D, press S a fifth time to adjust day of week, press D, Then press M to end settings.
hold the left, bottom button (marked ....) for a few seconds....then press the top right button (marked with 1 dot) to change between the hour, minute, date etc. use the bottom right button to advance the flashing number, and when finished setting time and date, use the bottom left button to stop the numbers flashing and return the watch to normal. hope this helps, this is also how to change the date for the other question asker
You have to run the clock back. Press Time/Date and then press up or down after you run it 24 hours the date will change, and the date will move day to day.

HERE IS STEPS FOR SETTING OF YOUR WATCH... STEP3 EXPLAINS THE SETTING OF DAY,DATE.....
Step 1
Push in the lower right button until you see the seconds flash. Press the upper right button to run the seconds display down to zero. Push the bottom left button to get into the mode to set the hours. Press the top right button to scroll through the numbers. Watch that you choose a.m. or p.m. correctly.
Step 2
Press the bottom left button to get into the mode to set the minutes. Again, push the top right button to scroll through the numbers until you reach the correct time.
Step 3
Repeat the process from Step 2 four times to set the month, date and day of the week and to change to military time if you wish. Push the bottom right button to save your settings. You'll notice the colon between the numbers will start to flash.
To set the digital time and date on your Timex, please follow the steps below.
1. Press and hold the "Set" button for 2 seconds. The "Set" button is on the lower right side.
2. Press the "Date Advance" button on the upper right side. This will reset the seconds.
3. Press the "Change Mode" button on the lower left to set the hour. The hour will flash. Press the "Date Advance" button until the correct hour is displayed.
4. Press the "Change Mode" button again to set the correct 10s unit (first digit 1 or 0) for the minutes. Press the "Date Advance" button until the correct first digit of the minutes is displayed. Repeat this step to set the second digit of the minutes.

TIME AND DATE
Press and hold MODE until HOURS digits flash (you'll be in Alarm Mode) Press MODE again to enter TIME mode, SECONDS digits will flash.
Press ADJUST to set SECONDS to zero.
Press START/STOP to select MINUTES.
Press ADJUST to change.
Repeat to set HOURS, MONTH, DAYS, and DAY of WEEK. Go through 12 hours to set AM or PM.
Press MODE when done.
To display DATE from Time display , press START/STOP.
With DATE displayed press and hold START/STOP, then press ADJUST to change display between DATE-MONTH and MONTH-DATE.

ALARM AND HOURLY CHIME
Press and hold MODE until HOURS digits, DAY, and A or P (for AM or PM) flash.
Press ADJUST to change HOURS digits. Go through 12 hours for AM or PM.
Press START/STOP to select MINUTES.
Press ADJUST to change.. Press MODE when done.
Press and hold ADJUST, then press START/STOP to turn chime on/off. Press START/STOP again to turn alarm on /off. Release START/STOP when done.
CHRONOGRAPH
Chronograph will count up to 24 hours. Lap times are not stored. After 40 minutes chrono display changes from seconds to minutes.
With time displayed, press MODE to select Chrono Mode.
Press START/STOP to start.
Press ADJUST to view lap time. Press again to sesume lap timing.
Press START/STOP to stop timing . Press ADJUST to reset chrono to zero.
Repeat for successive laps.
