Right click (hit right mouse button) on task bar and click to lock task bar and uncheck hide task bar. If you cannot right click on time before it disappears move pointer to the bottom of screen and it should reappear. Than follow above steps. If all else fails restart computer clicking on the F8 key repeatedly until start menu comes up , choose safe mode and when the computer starts up your task bar should remain in place, follow above steps to unhindered it permanently and reboot the computer it will start back up in normal mode and your task bar should be "fixed"
It sounds like explorer.exe is being turned off. When you log in to Safe Mode hit Ctl+Alt+Del to bring the Task Manager and see if explorer.exe is running under Processes. If not, you can go to the Applications tab in Task Manager and click the New Task button and simply type in explorer.exe. If this does not give you your Start Menu and Task Bar then you need to take your computer back to the repair service and have them fix it properly this time. Otherwise, you'll have to reinstall the operating system.
If CTRL+ESC didn't make it come back, then the program that displays the task bar most likely isn't running.
That program is often called the "Windows Shell", but it's really "explorer.exe". It's the program that not only displays the Taskbar, but also responds to the CTRL+ESC sequence.
The workaround: press CTRL+ALT+DEL to fire up the Task Manager. Now on the File menu, select New Task (Run...). Type in "explorer" and press OK. That should restart explorer and re-display your Taskbar.

Hi there,
Your keyboard has been changed from English to French Canadian by the sounds of it!
Go down to your task bar and on the right side look for the keyboard icon or two letters. Click on that icon, and select US instead of what is selected right now.
You're looking for something like this if you're on XP - http://www.mirecki.us/computing/language/LangBar1.jpg
It will be on the right side, to the left of the icons and the arrow to "show more".
If you don't see the keyboard icon, right click on the task bar, go to Toolbars, and select "language bar". You should then see the keyboard or letters.
If you're still having troubles, comment back and I'll be sure to help!
Cheers,
Alex
Don't open two programs that uses webcam, for example: if you have skype application opened with video call you can use the webcam at yahoo messenger. make show application that requires one web cam features like video calling are online opened when needed. if the is a hidden program that you sure to have close it that is still in process, then open the task manager and click on applications, you will see and end it process there, if the problem persist then restart the computer.
I have a Go Gear 4GB. I just connect it to the computer. The first time, you will see a little balloon message at the bottom right corner, in the task bar, that will say "installing drivers". Once this is done, simply open your explorer and you will see a new drive that probably even says Go Gear. You can use this like a regular harddisk. Just copy all your mp3's directly to that drive. Once you disconnect your device, the drive will disapear in windows, but the files will be on your Go Gear and you will be able to enjoy them.
