You need to check the rectifier first to make sure it has AC power on the 2 x AC terminals and 13.8V DC on the DC side, if you have AC and no DC replace the rectifier, if you have no AC check the stator windings

Just hold down the power button and volume down while its plugged in for about 20 seconds or so. Then hit your power button once to see if it is charging now.
You may have to reset it. let if charge for about 24hrs, 10hrs may work fine too and With the device turned off, press and hold the volume down button, and then briefly press the power button. - Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the volume down button. - Press volume down to select clear storage, and then press power. - Press volume up to start the factory reset. if this doesn't work, your charging port might be loose or damaged. if the reset doesn't work, have a technician check it.
Let's try to reset the charger system. Step 1: Unplug from the charger, press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds Step 2: Plug into the charger. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds Step 3: Let charge for 12 hours Step 4: Unplug form the Charger, run the Kindle until totally dead. Step 5: When DEAD. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Step 6: Plug into the charger, let charge normally If this does not reset the charging system you have either a faulty Kindle or a faulty charger, contact Amazon for replacement.
There is a small reset pin 'hole' underneath nearby the USB/Power plug.
However, if your GPS is charging when you plug it to a PC or Laptop USB port, then I would suspect that the issue is more a faulty Car Power supply/charger (could be the cable or plug if you can see the pilot light on the charger).
ps. A cheaper alternative/easier to find to an original Tomtom car charger is a generic 5V (rated at least 1 Amp) USB charger used with your Tomtom USB Cable (that is what I use myself).
I've been having the same problem myself. The charger is apparently built into the roomba main board. From what I've read there are two MOSFETs U2 & U4 that can go out and require replacement to fix the problem. More info here http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3909

2. take and put battery back in phone and plug charger.
3. hold hit camera button and power buton. phone will come on if the update was washed it will come straight on. if not you will see the blue LED dont worry yet. just keep holding for 15 sec.
4. while phone blue LED is still on hit and hold (drum Role) menu and track ball for 15 sec.
5. now unplug charger and take out battery. wait 10 sec
6. now put battery back in and leave charger off. and turn on. unless you was in middle of update and hardware failed this WILL bring your G1 back up and running.
hope this helps everyone . MIll$tronics signing out.
We had the same problem that I found to have a very simple fix. It seems all that needed to be done was hold in the reset button a few seconds while the battery charger was plugged in and the light on the charger turned to red and the battery charged again. Seems like too easy of a fix but it worked for my kids scooter.
i had the same problem. my reset button was jammed. the problem: the reset button is so deep in the tiny hole its hard to tell if you even really hit it when you put a pen in there and somethign like a sharpened pencil just doesn't go deep enough. i monkeyed around wiht a peice of straw in the reset hole for about 10 seconds then tried to turn it on and it worked. good luck
It's a problem with either the memory board or the button board. With my h5550, the bottom buttons started to stop working and eventualy the PPC stoped charging all together. You can find parts for it online. If all the buttons are working fine, then it's most likely the motherboard. Otherwise it should be the button board.
