Water gets in your engine through the exhaust with the boat speed! Lift that engine when not in use!

Check your fuel line really good it sounds like you have a pin hole in your line and it's loosing it's prime

Have your spark plugs changed AND carbs cleaned and adjusted.
Usually that can also be caused by a seized advance system ( plate under the flywheel, commanded to turn with the throttle linkage... )

Clean or change the Spark Cables>
to cleab the pull them out and with antirust spray and clean

It's hard to say based on your brief description. I would try a new plug and spraying carb cleaner in the carb. Sometimes engine running problems are related to the ethanol that gasoline contains. The ethanol attracts water and that causes several problems. I recommend using a fuel stabilizer to treat your gas and avoid the ethanol problems.
