KDF-55XS955 Blue lines

We have had this TV for about 16 months. Suddenly today after we we watched a DVD, we noticed these blue lines coming out of the bottom right corner of the screen. They are not perfect horizontal lines...somewhat like a 'mass', if you will. I have pictures, but can;t figure out how to post them. We have never seen them before, and at the moment only see them when that area of the picture is dark. Can someone tell me if this is the color convergence that need to be adjusted? And if so...how to get to that little panel? Thanks!

Ok, your were correct!! ((THANK YOU!!)) I had this replaced by Sony a couple of months ago...at their expense, and all is great again. The repair tech said it was 'dust' that had gotten into the

'glass beads' of the optical block/engine. I asked him if the 'seal' was fixed on the new part to avoid this in the future and since Sony had obviously realized that this IS a problem and are paying for it. He said "no'". The best we could do was to hold the vacuum hose to the back of the TV and

clean it like this about once a month. Do other tech's agree with the cleaning method AND that the original problem has not been fixed in the replacement parts and this is able to occur again....

This is an optical engine problem - it needs to be replaced - it will only get worse. Sony has had problems with the optical block and is extending the warranty for this problem. (this is a LCD projection tv - there is no convergence)

Blue spot on screen center. Peoples faces and show blue tint

if you have a Sony LCD projection ..Theres good chance optical block needs replacing .This spot will get bigger and will eventually cover most of screen the longer you use it .needs repair. If there is no warranty on this unit..I would estimate repair around 6- 8 hundred dollars ..

Light blue cloud

I have the same problem. The repair guy said it's the optical engine and you may as well replace the set as pay for the repair. First time I'm glad I bought the extended warranty. That's another story. Zonieal
