I have been printing on my R1800 for over a year with very few problems...but today I am stumped...as my prints are coming off with pinkish banding at the top and bottom of my vertical prints / sides of my horizontal prins. At first I thought it might be a ink clog, so I cleaned and recleaned, and RE cleaned my printer heads...and the test print page still comes back with some gaps in the yellow cartidge print - not sure if this has anything to do with the PINK bands that are printing-but suffice to say, after cleaning the heads, the band problem is still present. HELP!

have you played around with the print settings at all?
are you using Canon Cartridges or are they refills and is this plain paper or are you using Canon photo Paper?
If you do a nozzel check is that coming out all ok?

Remove ink cartridges one by one and put it back in. If same thing happens, try
to do head cleaning and nozzle checks consecutively from the computer.
Start -> Control Panel -> Printers & Faxes (Windows XP) /
Printers (Windows Vista) -> Printer Icon (right click) ->
Printing Preferences -> Maintenance
You should be able to see nozzle check, click it and follow the prompt.
Line patterns that corresponds to the colors of the ink cartridges
would be printed. If breaks on the patterns appear, continue with head cleaning. Try to do this about 3 times until
all patterns are complete.
