You will not be able to set all the programmes back to original as you have no disc and wont be able to get a replacement unless you have spoken to Insignia support, but you can format the pc to the operating systems original installation without the installed programmes by using a friends XP cd, but use you own product code number which will be on a sticker on your tower system, as its the license you pay for and not the actual cdrom.

In order to restore your toshiba, you will need the restore disks that were included or that you created when you bought the laptop. Make sure all your documents and personal data is backed up because once you start the restoration everything will be lost. The computer will be exactly as you purchased it from the store.
Insert the first restore CD/DVD into the laptop and restart the computer. It should automatically load but if it doesn't, let me know and I'll talk you through how to get the computer to load from your CD Rom first.
Go into the BIOS (press F2 during boot) , change the boot order - put the cd first and save the change, put the restore disk in the dvd, reboot, wait for the disk to launch and follow the instructions on the screen.
Ah music to my ears =) this pc I know very well. The easiest way to restore is to restart your pc and when the DELL insignia appears press F8 then a screen with pop up go down till you get to LAST KNOWN GOOD Configuration and viola!! It would help if you made a restore disk once it starts running again or set a new restore point from there on out. Good luck =)
Contact the computer manufacturer. Once they verify system model & serial # on the phone they usually will send a replacement recovery cd at little or no charge. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.
can you send me the model of the pc so that i can find it for you the solution to your pc have you scan the pc for viruses because virus do slow system if yes which type of anti virus do you use.
You can buy it from DELL. They will send it to you for between $20 to $40. Sounds like you have spyware though.
Turn the system restore off. System
restore keeps everything in restore. Meaning......... If you have spyware
or a virus, it will stay in your system. Run Spybot S&D (This program
is free and is better than using msconfig as long as you go through the
settings and change everything to the highest settings.) Then do the same with
Adaware 2008 (sounds stupid to use 2 things for spyware, but one catches what
the other one does not.). I have links on my website
(tandnfamilyelectronics-online.com). These links go directly to the
download so you will not get the run around. You would do good to try a
program called Window Washer. This is a great program that completely
cleans anything in your computer that you do not need. It will not clean
out anything that you have to have. I have used this for years to clean
out my customers computers and have cleaned as much as 3 gigs of trash
out. If you contact me I will give you some tools that I have for free
that will do a great job on your computer. I have them ready to download
and I will give you the link.

Hi, you can go to the manufacturers website and see if they have a reccomended sales point for a restore disk, other wise the only safe solution I can reccomend is for you to buy a retail version of XP PROFESIONAL then run the upgrade edition from that disk and it will reload all of xp and save your current data at the same time.

Sounds like you want to start a fresh install from your CD/DVD?
as soon as you turn on the computer, hit the del key to get into the BIOS (or pay attention during POST as it'll tell you what key to push)
Once in there, you'll want to goto the "boot options" tab and set the CD/DVD-ROM to start up first and then the hard drive.
Press Esc and save, as it starts up, it should say "hit any key to install windows" and then it's just a matter of following instructions to finish.
If all you are trying to do is a system restore, you can goto:
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore
and then restore it to a earlier time.
