Question about Nikon Coolpix 5600 Digital Camera

Viewing pictures on tv

Using nikons supplied cable I connect my camera to my tv as the manual instructs. I am able to see my photos on the tv screen, but only in black and white. The pictures have been taken in full colour, and are displayed in full color on nikons digital display before plugging a/v cable into camera. Any ideas? thanks in advance

This suggests a possible fault with the TV A/V circuit. You can check this of course by trying it out on another TV

How to view pictures taken on a Nikon camera connected by USB to Samsung Smart tv

You don't. The USB connection on the camera is for connecting to a computer. Your camera should have an audio/video output and/or HDMI output, depending on the model. Use the appropriate cable(s) to connect the camera to the tv. The manual should give full details.

If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and specify the model of your Nikon camera.

My nikon coolpix s6300 won't let me view the pictures i have taken on the camera.

I can only offer this: (sorry if it does not help)
When the micro USB Cable is plugged into the camera you MAY be able to take photos. The camera MAY work normally EXCEPT for the MONITOR or Screen. The screen is TURNED off when you plug in the cord.

Memory card trouble

The camera should have come with a USB cable with which to connect the camera straight to the computer. Connect the camera (with the memory card inserted) to the computer and see if you can access the photos.

What about the video out facility of D70S

Using the supplied audio-visual cable, you can connect your camera to a TV in order to display your pictures. It basically lets you use a TV's larger screen in lieu of the smaller screen on the back of the camera. It will NOT let you take videos.

Nikon d3000 Trying to preview the photo prior to clicking the picture. Display only shows a black screen until I click.

On most new DSLR cameras, you must activate "live view" to see the picture on the screen before you take it. Check your manual.

How to view photos

To view them on the camera lcd screen, press the playback button (green arrow in a green box, 2nd button down to the right of the screen) and then scroll through them one by one using the left and right buttons on the thumb pad. If you press the up and down buttons the image will advance forward and back by ten pictures each time.

To view them on a tv, turn the camera off and connect the video cable supplied with the camera to your tv input terminal (yellow). Turn the camera on set the tv to display the input feed and then use the camera playback button as before.

To view them on a computer, you'll need to upload them to the computer first. The best way is to turn the camera off and remove the memory card, and then insert it into a memory card reader connected to your computer. The computer will then prompt you to upload and display the images.

Screen black in all lighting. Icons and menu show and can view photos already on card, but screen black in all modes. Can take picture, but it is also black. Lens cover is open. Nikon Coolpix 4600. Thanks...

Hello, I went and researched a few points in the manual and hope this helps to some extent. If this doesn't help, try resetting your camera by removing the batteries for 30 seconds, then reinstalling them and turning on the camera again.
Monitor is blank:
• Camera is off.
• Batteries are not correctly inserted or battery-chamber
cover is not properly latched.
• Batteries are exhausted.
• EH-62B AC adapter (available separately) is not properly
connected.
• Camera is in sleep mode. Press shutter-release button
halfway.
• Monitor is off.
• USB cable is connected.
• AV/Video cable is connected

No picture is taken when shutter release button is pressed:

• Camera is in playback mode.
• Batteries are exhausted.
• Red (!) lamp flickers: flash is charging.
• Green (AF) lamp flickers: camera unable to focus.
• Message "CARD IS NOT FORMATTED" appears in
monitor: memory card is not formatted for use in your
camera.
• Message "OUT OF MEMORY" appears in monitor:
insufficient memory to record picture at current Image
mode setting.

Blank lcd screen when camera is on

No solution for your first problem but it's normal that you cannot view your photo on the LCD screen before actually taking it. Due to the way a reflex camera is built, you can't have a live view on your LCD. The Fuji S3 Pro has this type of preview as also most recent camera (Nikon D300, Canon 40D...).

Coolpix nikon digital camera

This sounds like a broken or cracked LCD screen. The backlite is working, thus you will get the white screen. The LCD could also be disconnected internally, or has other problems. But this is a direct problem with the LCD.
A camera like this can usually take pictures, and you may be able to use it to set the menus by using the video cable to the TV or computer screen (some flat screens have video inputs).
