Question about Mitsubishi VS-50707 50" Rear Projection Television
Folks, I have a Mitsubishi 50" VS-50707. Many a times it shuts down while viewing. Then it does not come on. When I attempt to turn it on either by remote or Power button on the panel, it comes on and shuts right back off and the relay clicks once. I put it into the diagnostic mode by pressing the input and menu button on the panel simultaneously and it gave me an error code of 24 - vertical delfection failure. I looked for dry solder on the board and resoldered the filter capcitors and the STRF6682 (IC 951)in the Power supply area. Is there a swithcing capacitor that I need to look for/replace? Where is the vertical IC located on this TV set and what numbers are they usually are. The TV does come back on after a hard reset (that is leaving the Power disconnected for more that 4 hours) then it functions for a few days probably a week and then it gets back into this mode. Any help from the TV Master Serviceman would very much be appreciated. Thanks!!!
1. MAY BE INTERMITTENT, SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK SOLDER CONNECTIONS AT CONNECTOR "DY" ON THE YOKES. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF-DIAGNOSIS ERROR 23 OR 24. CHECK C411 2200 UFD 35 V AND C412 10 UFD 50 V, BOTH LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.
