Format error I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600 but the problem is it tells me there is a format error every time I turn it on. I have tried several times to format it in the camera and through the card reader.But nothing seems to help. Do I have to buy a new memory card or is there a problem in the camera. grateful for some advice. I live in Tanzania where there are no specialists for Sony digital Cameras.

Before buying a new memory card, try to use your card in another camera. When you say you tried to format it through a card readr, do you mean that the card reader was connected to your PC?

Hi - I am getting an error message when i switch on my Sony Cybershot dsc t9 saying access and then it flashes format error C13.01 - can you advise how to resolve?

It might be due to a bad contact of the placed memorycard.

1. Pull the memorycard out and in the camera several times and retry.
2. If not OK, format the card in the camera. If that does not work, format it in the computer.
3. Try another memorycard and recheck.

Hi, here is a temporary solution that might work for you as it did for me:

1: turn on the camera in picture/movie review mode
2: turn the screen off (not the camera)
3: change from review picture/movie mode to take picture/movie mode
4: turn the screen back on.

You should now be able to take pictures and record.
