How Long to Charge??

Hi, I just bought the Sansa c250 last night... I charged it all night and I'm charging it again now... It was on for about a half hour before it turned off... Any idea how long it takes to charge this thing or do you think it's defective? I still haven't been able to listen to a single song on it. Thanks in advance!

Sandisk recommends 3+ hours for the initial charge and then about 1.5 - 2 hours for after the battery is drained. More information is needed to diagnose this problem. but here is some info. After 45 minutes on the phone with sandisk to get them to send a new battery, they ran me through these troubleshooting steps, hope they help. do one at a time and see if you get a result -Reset device take out battery hold power button for 30 count put battery back in turn device on. -Upgrade firmware Go to website, download firmware update This was the URL at the time of writing this http://sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 or try http://sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx Install according to instructions. let the device reboot. -Format memory. turn hold switch on, orange should be visible hold pause/play button and press power. click forward button when the screen comes up. let this run. after reboot flip the hold switch off. then they put me on hold for 10 minutes...

It takes a while. Try leaving it charged over night, then tell me if you have any problems.

Hi there, I have a problem in charging my player for few days since my computer has been formated. I am looking for the software that helps me to charge again.

check if all the driver for your usb is installed maybe thats the problem..its in the device manager. good luck

What is the proper time line to charge my Sansa c250 battery

i herd this worked for sansa players. if u right click the player in my computer on a pc than chose propertys it will show batter charge.

I had a similar problem. My Sansa c250 would charge, when plugged into the computer. It would read that it was writing but the computer did not recognized that the Sansa c250 was connected. I switched to a different USB port and got the same results. I then realized that the two ports I was using were 1.0 port and idmedeatly when inserted in the 2.0 port it began charging and the computer recongized the Sansa c250. I know this won't solve every charging problem one may have. Changing the battery would be easier in some cases. Especially if they were sold like the AA or AAA.

Battery will not hold charge ,where can i buy new battery

HI,

if your battery charge fully and only long with 2 or 3 hours it is normal don't worry no need to change.

but if you charge it and a minimum of 30 mins and it will drain need to chnage the battery unit.
