Reminders and wake-up-alarm problems

Reminders on my phone - do not notify me as in the past - Reminders are displayed on the screen, but the icon bottom left does not appear and no sound notification for the reminder. My wake up alarm icon also do not allow me to acknowledge them - normally a icon would appear at bottom left with sound - the sound works, but no icon appears to acknowledge the alarm - so I do hear the sound of a rooster making a noise in the morning, BUT I CAN'T ACKNOWLEDGE THIS ALARM. Help me please! This problem started +- 3weeks ago. I tried to reset phone - I also removed the battery, But when I turn phone on again - I do hear the sound of this rooster making a noise with an echo effect.

Here is how to hard-reset your MDA/Wizard using a key combo - courtesy of a smart T-Mobile tech support help desk guy who wrote a note about it as it's not in official help doc's: 1. Simultaneously hold down the Communication Manager and Voice Dial buttons and put the Soft Reset 'button' with the stylus tip - all at the same time. 2. You see a very scary looking black screen with white letters in System font reading something along the lines of ?Are You Sure? Press Send key to continue.? 3. When you push the 'Send' key, the Green pick-up the phone key process starts 4. Next you will see what made me smile like a kid - Formatting FAT partition and very briefly in matter of few seconds began normal first boot.

How to set an alarm on a Samsung T255G Phone?

Hi there!

You can set an alarm to alert you once, or daily at a specified time. Once set, the alarms are easy to change or turn off completely.

1. In Idle mode, press Menu > Tools > Alarms. The following options appear in the display:

• Wake-up Alarm
• Alarm 1
• Alarm 2
• Alarm 3
• Alarm 4

2. Select an Alarm. The alarm screen appears in the display containing the following options: the alarm name, the on/off setting, the time, AM/PM, alert type, alarm tone options, the alarm volume setting, days if the week to sound, snooze option and auto power on/off setting.

3. Highlight the options you wish to change, then select values for the options using the Left and Right navigation keys.

4. When you're finished entering and selecting values for the alarm, press ok. The alarm is set and the alarm icon appears in the top of the display.

Hope this helps

How do I set the alarm so it will activate on weekdays. It only works for Saturday and Sunday. Thanks

Hello

Sure Alarm battery Back-Up System

This SmartSet® Clock Radio includes a Sure Alarm battery back-up circuit that can

wake you up even if the power is 'Off'at the selected wake up time. If your power

is 'Off'at the selected wake up time the clock display will be off and the radio will

not operate, but a separate mini-buzzer will turn 'On'automatically to wake you up,

even if you had selected the "Wake to Radio"option.

The Sure Alarm will sound for 30 seconds and then shut off automatically.

To stop the Sure Alarm buzzer immediately, press the RADIO ON/OFF button.

Pressing the SNOOZE button has no effect during Sure Alarm operation.

Note: In order to maximize the life of the built in lithium battery, please be sure

to set the ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 switches to the "OFF"position if the radio

will be disconnected from the AC outlet for more than a few hours. This will
prevent the Sure Alarm from turning 'On'unnecessarily.

1.) Depress and hold either the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting button.

The display will change from the correct time
to the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 wake up time.

2.) While holding the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting button, depress either the

SET + or - button to move the display ahead or back to your desired wake up
time.

3.) When the desired wake up time appears on the display, release the SET + or

- buttons.

Note: Be sure that you have set the wake up time correctly by observing

the AM indicator. If the AM indicator is 'On'the wake up time is "AM". If the
AM indicator is 'Off', the wake up time is "PM".

4.) When the desired wake up time (AM or PM) appears on the display, release
the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting buttons

Dont know how to set time or alarm

Press and hold the Set Wake button and the press either the fwd or rev button until the desired Wake time is reached. Release the buttons to return to the current time display. To display the wake time, press and release the Set Wake button. To turn off the alarm, press and hold Wake Mode until the alarm icon disappears. (This button lets you choose Wake to Music, Wake to Alarm or Off.)

The owner's manual is available here: http://support.radioshack.com/support_audio/37571.htm .

I hope this helps.

Alarm icon is displayed in the center of the screen no matter what I do. All alarms are turned off. I've rebooted the phone several times including removing the battery. What else can I do?

I've had this same weird problem today but I think that I may have solved it.

1. Go to "Menu"
2. Go to "Settings"
3. Go to "Display and Light"
4. Go to "Widget". Among your widgets is one called "Analog Clock". Un-check it and Save the widget screen.
5. Go out of the Menu to the top screen (that has "dial", "contacts" and "menu" at the bottom.) Hopefully, the alarm icon is gone. However, the "Analog Clock" that displays the time in the widgets (opened by the small arrow on the left side of the screen) is also gone. Simply go back through steps 1-4 to get to the "Widgets" screen and check the "Analog Clock". Your Analog Clock should display and the Alarm icon should still be gone.

I know that this solution doesn't seem to make much sense because what does an Analog Clock have to do with an Alarm icon? It just seems to be a software glitch of Samsung.

Try it out and see if it works.

Notification alert for calendar items on Samsung i780

Hi there!
Try to click the bell icon when you set your alarm and see if you have checked the box for "play sound".
Also, verify if your volume is up and not in "Off" mode.
Also, go to Settings, click Sounds and Notifications. Verify if you were able to check the "Enable sounds for programs" box and make sure the notifications box is checked.
And on the notifications tab select "Reminders" from the drop down menu for "Event" and ensure that "Play sound" and "repeat" are checked.
Hope this will solve your problem!
