Question about Samsung SCX 4521F All-In-One Laser Printer

1 Answer

Jammed cartridge I am not able to remove the cartridge from this printer. As I slide it out, appearing to be "on track", it seems to get stuck on something on the right side (facing the open machine) but I cannot see what, if anything, is blocking. The left side of the cartridge (facing the open machine) goes down lower than the other side when I try to pull it out. But, it only gets about halfway out before the right side becomes immovable. This is the first time I have had this issue, and I am on my 8th or so cartridge. Every manipulation of the cartridge has not helped, and pulling hard doesn't help either.

Leave it in. Turn printer off. Unplug it, all cables, replug it, turn it on and print something even if it doesnt print, now try and remove again.

I keep getting an error message about a paper jam for my printer but there is absolutely no paper jammed anywhere in the machine.

Have you tried a new toner cartridge, The toner cartridge has moving parts, and of the cartridge gets stuck, the printer may indicate a paper jam.

Also paper often tears when clearing jams, and the little shreds of paper can stay in the rollers of the printer and keep it jammed. Make sure to inspect all the rollers to make sure they move freely, and do not have anything stuck in them.

Im getting an error "see my documentation" on my

I had this issue and contacted epson support. They had me open the top to access the cartridges and physically slide the cartridge from its resting place over to the other side and and there was a small piece of paper that got caught in a print and was between the the ink and the cleaners. I then needed to physically move the cartridges back to the resting place and then close the top. Then on the printer, go to the menu and clean the nossels and the test the cartridge. if the lines are broken at all or you dont see words at the top of the test page, then clean the nozzles again. complete this and print a test page or copy. I was good to go.

ESP5200printer,new,paper jam message

Hi slicknick58,

Paper jam message occurs when there are stuck papers inside the printer. There are several ways on how to correct this problem, either you remove the visible stuck paper manually or replace the toner or ink cartridge. Below are the steps you'll want to follow when this problem still occurs.

1. Turn off the printer. Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam.

2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

3. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.

4. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

5. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

6. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper . Don't force anything.

7. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

8. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path and try repeating the above steps again.

Hope it helps.

I can't remove the printer cartridge. It seems to

The cartridge slides in on two rails, you probably got these cross threaded. Look at the angle of the cartridge, it is probably angled. Pull up and out with both hands lifting on the low side and pushing on the higher side. It will take a considerable amount of force if someone was somehow able to get it all the way in while still off-track.

Cartridge jam won't clear HP 5610v

I had the same problem and just got it to work. go to
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00577763&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&rule=22243&product=441125

go to the section "Moving the carriage" turn on printer and then unplug power. If you still cant move the carrage then remove both toner cartridge and all the trays. Then completely disconnect printer and stand it upright (so paper feed and cartridge tray is on top) Look thru the paper feed area to the left side of toner carrage and you will see a little plastic tab around the bottom back of the carrage. That tab is suppose to be inside a track on the bottom of the carrage. I think that when we put in or took out toner we must have pushed it to hard and that piece jumped out of the track and has "locked" the carrage. I just pushed the carrage up carefully and used a letter opener to move the plastic tab back into place (tab is spring loaded) print working fine now. Hope this solves your problem

Print cartridge cradle is stuck ican't find where it is jammed

This might help . . . Mine finished printing one doc & then made a terrible noise & sent a message to my screen that "print cartridge cradle is stuck." When i opened door, i could see it was stuck off to the left side so left cartridge was obscured. I could not get it to budge, although i kept turning it off, gently pushing & turning it back on. Finally, i got my hand inside & determined that the little door to the left-side cartridge had popped open & was causing it to remain stuck. After some struggles (turn off printer first!) i was able to maneuver it around & close it tight. Now, all is well . . .

HP Photosmart 7450 stuck cartridge

not a solution, my paper feeds past the point where printer5.gif would normally begin. Then flashing light changes from green to red and print operation stops. Printer cartridge1.gif appears to be stuck in far right area of cartridge track.

Replaced drivers as above and still have the same problem.
Mine started after I had replaced the color cartridge. Mailed the old one to HP already so can't put in old cartridge.

If I unplug printer from computer, I get same results. Does the driver software install in the printer?

Carrier jam on dell 924 printer??

I was able to fix this issue on my all-in-one 944 printer. What happened was that one of the ink cartridge lids had popped open. The hard part was that the carrier was stuck on the far left side, and I wasn't able to pull it over for easer access. However, I was able to fit a finger in and push the cartridge back down. Then when I turned the printer back on the error went away.

Hope this helps

Cartridge cradle is stuck

I have had this problem with my 7550 for a while now and I finally found this on the HP website and it seems to have fixed my problem, I also replaced all of the cartridges:

Issue While printing from an HP Photosmart printer, the printer screen displays Print cartridge cradle is stuck / clear jam and then press OK . The printer may also make grinding sounds. This can occur after a paper jam when another printer part blocks the cradle. Solution Follow these instructions to adjust the clutch on the printer.
  1. Disconnect the USB cable.
  2. Press the printer power button to turn off the printer.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  4. Open the top cover of the printer.
  5. Remove the print cartridges from the printer.
  6. Slide the cradle to the right side of the printer.
  7. Locate the clutch on the left side of the printer.
NOTE: The clutch is a flat, white, plastic component that rests just above the white roller gear wheel. In the HP Photosmart P1000 and P1100 printers, the clutch is black metal. Figure 1: Printer clutch c00020494.jpg
  8. Remove the rear access door from the back of the printer.
  9. Press the clutch firmly towards the back of the printer, while rolling the wheels in the back of the printer upward two full rotations.
  10. Release the clutch and roll the wheels up two more rotations.
  11. Reinstall the rear access door.
  12. Reinstall the print cartridges and secure the latches in place.
  13. Close the top cover and reconnect the power cord.
  14. Turn on the printer.
  15. Print a test page.
