Did you try to delete the image itself and send it to your trash. Also check in control panel for add/remove. If by chance it is there you can remove it. I hope this can help.

Internet photos download as bitmaps instead of jpg's

First open Microsoft Paint by going to Start, All Programs, Accessories and then Paint
Now open the BMP file in Paint. Now all you have to do to save the file in JPG format is to simple do a Save As. Change the File Type drop down menu to JPG and click Save

I have images in .ppt format that I would like to upload to facebook. Is this an acceptable format?

Hi,
.ppt is the extension for PowerPoint presentations, so it's not really an image format. This is why you willnot be able to upload it on Facebook.
However exporting the images from the .ppt is very easy! Just follow these simple steps and you will have your images exported and ready to be uploaded.
To export your PowerPoint slides to other file types (BMP, WMF, JPG, PNG, etc)
  • Open your presentation and choose Save As from the File menu.
  • In the Save As Type dropdown listbox, choose the file type you want to save.
  • Give the file a name and click OK.
  • PowerPoint asks whether you want to export just the current slide or your entire presentation. The question is worded a little oddly, so read the message carefully before clicking Yes or No.

When you save the entire presentation rather than a single slide, it uses the name you give it, makes a folder of that name, then creates the exported files in that folder, giving them names like Slide1.jpg, Slide2.jpg and so on.

  • Shake And Save, it’s a print screen program for Windows Mobile.
  • Just shake your mobile, and the app will save the screen as image.
  • Supported 4 image formats (.Png, .Bmp, .Gif, .Jpeg)
  • Choose the format and start the ShakeAndSave, when you want to take the print screen, just shake the phone.
  • Then press “Yes” to exit or “No” to continue the screens shots.
Hold you phone tight. DONT drop your phone while taking a screenshot

Necesito escanear en pdf con un escaner lexmark x 4550, en mi oficina envio muchos documentos y solo los puedo guardar como imagenes siendo estas muy pesadas para enviar por e-mail.

Hello,

No hablo espanol, but I undestood what you are asking.

Does your scanner software have an option to scan to file?
If it exists, use that option: a SAVE AS window opens where you are supposed to name the file.
Usually by pressing the down arrow to the right , you will have a list of possible image formats (.jpeg, jpn, .bmp ) Look for format .pdf, give a name or use the default suggested, then press ENTER.

Hope this helps.

Scanned files are too big

Change the file format its saving in. different formats have different compression rations. Jpg images are smaller than bmp images. simply by changing it to jpg it will be 20 times smaller. To do this when click save and the save image box appers, in the format type select jpg or gif or what ever is avilable. Play around to see what gives you the smallest size. You can also use software like Photoshop, paint, and other image editors to change the format its being saved in.

Hi uplate

c:\windows\system32
the image should be called oemlogo.bmp

rename this file to oemlogo-old.bmp
open up "oemlogo.bmp" using paintbrush and save again as oemlogo.bmp making sure that it is going to be saved in the same place ie c:\windows\system32
once done either edit the oemlogo.bmp file or create a new image file, making sure that your new image file is the same pixle size as the origional oemlogo.bmp file.

my current oemlogo.bmp file is quite small, but experement to see what is best.

I initially found out how to do this from the following link. not all systems have this oemlogo.bmp file but you should be able to create one and save it in the system32 folder without issue.

Translation

You can open each picture with windows paint (or some other picture editing software like adobe) and once open, click on the SAVE AS...here you can save it as another format. If it doesn't, then when you save as, you can add the extension to the file name. So let's say I have a BMP called Summer.bmp . I open it and when I name it I call it Summer.jpg (yes, type the dot followed by JPG) and when you click on the save button, it will save it as a JPG. I hope this helps.

Conversion of one image format into another

Open the file in whatever program you are using, or a program such as MS Paint, then save the file this way...
Select FILE, Hit "Save As..." This will open the window "Save As".
At the bottom of the window below "File name:" is "Save as type:".
Hit the drop-down button, and select the file type you desire. (bitmap)

Setting the format of the picture i scan

Ok I am not sure why ya scanner won't save in JPEG .. however converting the files to JPEG is relitively "Simple". After saving the Scanned picture.. Open it up in say MS Paint, Painshop etc, then simply choose "Save As.." from the File Menu, and save it as a NEW image file this time with a JPEG extension. IE: origional... picture.png or picture.bmp ... save as ...picture.jpg .. ya should be good to go. :)
