SOLUTION:

1. First, remove the battery cover on your unregistered TCX905 and look under the battery to confirm that you indeed purchased a TCX905 because some Uniden handsets were packaged as 905's but were not.

2. Take the fully charged unregistered 905 to the base unit TRU9496.

3. On the TRU 9496 base unit press "Menu" then select "Registration" and press OK

4. You should get the message "press the # key on the remote handset".

5. Depress the "#" key on the unregistered 905 and it should register.

SOURCE: handset won't ring

You need to reset the main base and make sure the ringer volume is turned all the way up. Disconnect the power from the back of the main base, press and hold find hs key while reconnecting power until you hear long beep. Should reset base and handset.

Loudspeaker will not stay on. Need to turn on for each phone call so I can talk with the caller.

My loudspeaker stayed on, but here is the solution for not being able to hear the caller:
I chatted with Motorola, as I had this problem. Here is their response:
While on a call, press the center button(press the side only to the right) this will give you option to adjust the call volume of the phone......
So, the real answer is close. While on a call, you have to hold down the right outside edge, or ring, of the center key. While holding it down, turn up the volume button on the right side of your phone. It worked for me. Hope this helps!

I have a Motorola C602 with 2 handsets. They both ring when an external call comes in however when I answer using one handset I hear the caller fine but if the user on the other Motorola handset wants to...

When this is required between 2 Internal Users and 1 External User, follow the Instructions for a 3 way Conference Call.
See Section 3.5.4 on Page 16 of the User Manual.
Good Luck!

NO CALLER ID 25881EE3-A

The GE Cordless Phonemag-glass_10x10.gif brand is designed to deliver the conveniences of cordless home service with quality sound and features. There are many models of the GE Cordless Phone. The most current models, including the DECT 6.0, have standard features such as call waiting, caller ID, visual ring indicator, phone number memory and digital answering systems.
    Before You Start
  1. Before you use your GE Cordless Phone, ensure that you have all the parts. Your cordless phone package should include the phone base, a handset battery pack, a battery compartment cover, the cordless handset, a wall mount bracket, and a telephone line cord and AC power adaptor. Once you have confirmed that you have all of your parts, insert the handset battery pack into the handset and replace the battery compartment cover. Insert your telephone line cord and the AC power adapter into the phone base. The phone base identifies the telephone line as TEL LINE and the adapter as AC. Plug the phone base into the electrical socket. Place the cordless handset into the base. Allow the phone to charge for at least 16 hours before its first use. Failure to fully charge the battery before its first use will result in poor battery performance.
  2. Phone Setup
  3. Once you have fully charged your phone, you can proceed with setting up your phone's features. If your cordless phone includes an answering system, complete this setup process first. Turn on the answering system by pressing the on/off button. The message indicator light will display. The cordless phones are defaulted to English as the selected language. To change your language preference, press the "Skip" button for two seconds. The language will change to Spanish. Next, you will set up your voice time and day stamp. While the answering system is on, press the "Answer" button on your handset for two seconds. The phone will enter the answerer mode. Press the "8" key. This will take you to the time/day setup menu. Use the number keys to set the hour and minutes. Use the volume up and down arrows to set the AM/PM. Press "#" to save. The cordless handset will also require that you give it a name. Press the "Mute" button for two seconds until the handset reads "ENTER NAME." Enter the name of the handset by using the touchtone keypad. Press the "Mute" button to save. Enter the default area code by pressing "Mute" until the phone displays "AREA CODE." Enter your three-digit area code and press the "Mute" button to save.
  4. The Basics
  5. GE Cordless Phones are designed to be simple and convenient to use. To place or answer a call, press the TALK button. You can pre-dial a number by dialing the number before pressing the TALK button. When you are ready to make the call, press TALK and the phone will dial automatically. To answer a call that is waiting on the other line, press the FLASH button. If you experience call interference or bad reception while on a call, press the CHANNEL button until your line clears.

Hang up

Button on side is not for answering calls.
PTT or Push To Talk allows you to use your mobile like a walkie talkie. It is dependant on your network operator running the service.

Quote from Pocket lint:
To use the function you must first create a group or individual in your phone menu and send an SMS invitation to those you wish to join. Once your contacts are set up, your phone shows which members have their handsets switched on with push-to-talk enabled, in the same way that instant messaging works online. By pushing a single button on the handset, you are connected with one person or with your group. There is no need to dial numbers, nor do the recipients need to answer calls. You simply push a button and talk. As with a walkie-talkie, anyone in the group hears you almost instantaneously. The talking is one way with only one person able to speak at a time. Unlike walkie-talkies, which are infuriatingly dependent on distance, push-to-talk has no such limitations.

You should be able to disable PTT in the Nokia menu, which is best if your network doesn't support it. Plus you won't keep cutting off calls.

GE 27938GE7_C call waiting

Yes, I re-read the manual and it says (under Caller ID) to press the flash/program button to answer the new incoming call...I must have hit the pound key in error thinking I hit the flash button. I have yet to try this in real time, but will next time it arises and report if it does NOT work.

Uniden DECT 6.0 cordless phones

Here are some steps that should help. I don't think that you can Conference call You can hold a 3-way conversation (conference call) between your handset, an external caller and another internal handset user. During an external call: 1 Press . The external caller is put ?on-hold?. 2 Press or to select name, number or the handset you want to have a conference call with and press or key. The called handset will ring. 3 When the called handset answers, press to start your conference call. 4 Any handset can press at any time to leave the conference call. It looks like you can use the multiple system sets together, but the system is not designed to do what you are asking for. Please repost with any other comments or questions. How to change Flash timing

The only reference to flash timing I can find in the manual is shown below for you, also here is link to manual :
I hope it helps !
http://www.uniden.com/products/productdetail.cfm?product=TRU8885-2

If you have Call Waiting service and a call waiting
tone sounds while you are on a call, press talk/flash
on the handset or flash/find hs on the base to accept
the waiting call. There is a short pause, and then you
will hear the new caller. To return to the original
caller, press talk/flash on the handset or flash/find
hs
on the base again.

Setting the Ring Time
Ring Time allows you to set the number of rings the caller hears before your
answering system plays the outgoing message. You can set the ring time to answer
after two, four, or six rings. If you enable the Toll Saver (TS), the answering system
picks up after two rings if you have new messages and after four rings if there are
none.
1) Enter the Answ. Setup menu, and then the Ring Time
submenu (see "Entering the Menu" on page 16).
2) Press volume up/down to select a Ring Time (Toll
Saver, 2 Times, 4 Times, or 6 Times).
3) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Setting the Record Time
Record Time sets the duration for recording the incoming messages. You have three
record time options. The options "1 minute" or "4 minutes" set the duration for
recording the incoming messages. "Announce only" answers the call but prevents
the caller from leaving a message.
1) Enter the Answ. Setup menu, and then the Record
Time submenu (see "Entering the Menu" on page 16).
2) Press volume up/down to select Record Time
(1 Minute, 4 Minutes, or Announce Only).
3) Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.
