I have a new acer lap top with windows X P and i am trying to install the software for my kodak easy share digital camera c340 but computer does not seem to recognise the camera connection or the cD rom. I dont know what to do as I am a complete novice

when it goes to the installation wizard.... do you let it run long enough to see a screen that gives you a choice to repair or uninstall ?
quick fix for the errors that are shown in start up is the start menu.... run and type in msconfig in the box.... another window pops up. click on the start up tab.... unmark any reference to kodak.
connect to the web type in camera model (ex, Kodak.com) will bring up the web site of the camera go into software dept on the site and download on to your laptop for the model number of your camera. Hope this helps Clarabella
