Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3
I have a problem on my motorola v3 phone it has NO SERVICE, OR NO SIGNAL.
Let's start with the basics here. Do you have a service provider? Is it activated? Is the phone activated? If NO, then you need to subscribe to one and have them activate the phone. You simply may not have activated the phone before using it. If the answer is YES, then you may be in a "dead zone" or "bind spot". Move to different locations (several blocks sometimes). There are whole neighborhoods without service especially in the mountains. Are you in such a community? If these answers did not solve your problem then you need to take the phone back to the store you got it from.

Before purchasing cell phone, we should know the types of cell phones and public trend and which are using on demand so that we can assume which is best.
inspite of several assumptions and with our knowledge we took cell phones eventhough by fate of us cell phone may not work to our expections.
it will depend on only individual luck.

fool with the small copper antenna located next to the battery it worked for me, i had the same problem. Try moving the antenna around with a small screwdriver

Have u dropped ur phone in any liquid or have u connected it to a pc of some sort? When did this start happening and i need for u to be honest with me if u have done anything odd to the phone. Any info can help me resolve ur problem.

What to do if - "Contact Service Provider", "Tampert Alter", "Wait before enter special Code" message is displayed: If after inserting a simcard from a different provider you notice the message "contact service provider" or any of the messages above, you will need to leave your phone on, at that "contact service provider" screen, for 1-3 hours. Just let it sit on the screen and dont touch any buttons during that time. It will then switch to something like "enter subsidy password", and you can then enter your code.

If you have an unlock phone and say for example you're now w. AT&T (cingular). Ofcourse your service will be provided from At&T, however sometimes there's gonna be a possibility that sometimes your service may upper under a different service provider. It's because all service providers sometimes borrows service for their customers from other carriers (roaming partners) if they don't have any coverage in the area, and that's what they call "roaming." However if you're question was say for example .. the phone turns on and it identifies Telstra when you turn the phone on just like when you have an at&t phone and phone identifies at&t when you turn it back on. It's only going to identify that service provider if phone cam from that service provider and unfortunately you can't change it.
