SOURCE: CAN I FIT A FENDER STRAT PICKUP IN THE MUD

The Fender pick up has two wires, blue and white. The Jackson has four: red, green ,black, and white.

1st. Determine the hot wire and the ground wire on the Jackson pick up and then just replace the Jackson pup with the Fender pup. White on the Fender is the hot lead and blue is for the ground. If you hook it up backwards it will be out of phase with the other pup's and will sound thin and weak when selected with either the rhythm pup or the lead pup. Of course, by itself it will sound normal because switching the wires only changes the phase of the Fender pup.
On the Jackson pup, the green and black are ground while the white and red are the hot side. Just solder the white lead of the Fender pup to the pup selector hot side and the blue lead to the ground.

I have a Jackson Kelly and I just got new EMG pickups 81 85 no wiring diagram or installation guide

it you're replacing a passive pickups, you'll need to find a place for the battery (that'll be the hard part)
EMG specifies 25k pots, you might need those
plus a 'stereo' 1/4" output jack to switch the battery off when you unplug the guitar.
if you're not using the EMG routing bus (connector block thingie) yo want to wire it something like this

Can you please identity the model and year of manufacture please? Serial number is 9820141 made in japan.

Jackson Catalog Archive Jackson Support

At the bottom of this page is the contact number for Jackson Support, which is the same as Fender Support. They should be able to ID the year and model from the serial number.

Guitar pickup at bridge (EMG 81) is not working

several things....First I would check your battery. second, check wiring to your switch to make sure the wiring hasnt come apart from the solder joints. From there I would test your switch itself to make sure it is still good.I have had switches go bad and only have one pickup work before.

I have a Jackson erie dess Dinky. The serial number is 04041727. I would like to know the actual model #, where and what year it was made and where can I get an ACCURATE wiring diagram for this sc/sc/hb 1...

Search this site based on how many pickups you have for a configuration matching your guitar.

Apparently some of these were 2008 models. It is possible the date code is imbedded in the serial number. That MIGHT mean it was made in Apr 2004.

You may find date codes on some of the internal parts. Thes usaull will be 2 digit year followed by 2 digit week of manufacture.
