Hi, Unfortunately no AGP slot nor PCI-E. The Gigabyte GA-8I845GV motherboard has only 3 Expansion Slots and all of the are PCI (33MHz & PCI 2.2 compliantt). From their website, here's an image of the motherboard http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/FileList/Image/motherboard_productimage_ga-8i845gv_big.jpg It has a built-in Intel® Extreme Graphics Engine (845GV chipset) for video with max of 128 mb shared memory. Should you wish to install an add-on 3rd party PCI video card, Inno3D FX5500 256ddr PCI slot tv-dvi are still available (at least in my location) for an equivalent of about 3.5K INR (80USD+). Hope this gives you an idea. Good luck and kind regards.

VGA Support?

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2358#sp

Your mainboard supports 1 x AGP 8x slot ( the green slot )

The new PCI-e express does not fit the socket.

When you add a bigger graphic card, you will probably need a bigger power supply.
I recommed a 500 watt or bigger.
Most external graphic cards uses 150 to 250 watts, depending of the size of the card.

I also recommed ATI/AMD graphic cards.
Such graphic card, can be bought online, or in a computer shop.

Good luck

1 x AGP slot (8x/4x-AGP 3.0 compliant), supports 1.5v display card only.

You can still buy an agp video card but it can be hard to find.

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M Motherboard with 2gb ram. I want to disable the onboard graphics card and add another VGA card. Which card should I go for?? Will adding VGA card, show physical memory as 2gb...

Hello you can download the manual, and drivers here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1810#manual

You can add a graphic card 1 x AGP slot (8x/4x-AGP 3.0 compliant), supports 1.5v display card only.
And Max capacity: Up to 2GB DDR400 RAM by 2 DIMM slots.

ATI/AMD makes very good graphic cards.

Adding a graphic card on the mainboard will not slow the physical memory. It has it`s own ram.

Good luck

Hi, i want vga driver for GA-81845GV mother board

Hi, you can find the driver here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/support-downloads.aspx

Try searcing for the right mainboard number.
The number is printed in on the mainboard near the pci slots.
If your mainboard has an external card you have to search for that.

Try even to run windows update.

Hope this was helpfull.

I want a graphics card for 81845GVM-RZ motherboard......please help me

Hi,
Your motherboard is old one.
For adding the new graphics card you need to have the PCI Express x16 slot in motherboard
Your motherboard is not having this slot.
Buy a new motherboard.

Hey,

if you had a pci slot card inserted in the agp slot and you powered on, the motherboard may be damaged.

ATI Radeon Saphire 9600Pro AGP Graphics Card

It appears that the mobo is AGP 8x, and this video card also appears to be AGP 8x - so you should be able to use it just fine.
