hi there!

make sure that the top cover of your hp deskjet is fully closed, open it up again, check for any obstruction then make sure you hear the snap sound when you close it back. if you're in the usa, you can contact 800-hp invent for technical support especially if the printer is still in warranty!

See when it comes to scanning problems with the printer ...The first thing to make sure scanning problems don't occur when scanning...... is to have the software for the printer....cause the software is for the scanning feature of the printer... . and the other thing to do is download the scanning utility for the printer ....its found on the company's website under the title drivers and support or drivers and software......Just click on the title and enter the full name (that includes the numbers after the name)of your laptop, printer or any hp product that needs a driver for the pc..... get the right scanning utility for the printer and you will fix the problem...

According to your problem reopen the output try or replace it. Check the settings of the printer. Then reboot the printer and the system both. It will solve your problem.

Deskjet 1000 output tray open but error says it is closed

I had the same error message when nothing appeared to be wrong. The sensor in my printer was set far back from the plastic edge. It must be a light sensor because when I shined my desk lamp in the direction of the tray it started working. I haven't seen a similar post like this so I want to throw it out there.

My printer is Hp Deskjet 2050 J510 Series. It prints well the first line but the last lines, it does not print. The after a while it send a message like this.
Error Code: 00000000. Please help me to solve the problem.
